
Dr. Stefanie Woodard is a breast imaging specialist and attending radiologist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She completed her medical training at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a residency and fellowship at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Hershey Breast Center, respectively. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Breast Imaging Resident Rotation and Director of Breast MRI at UABMC, and has been involved in several academic and mentorship roles, including serving on committees such as the RSNA Abstract Review and the SBI Mentorship Subcommittee. In this episode, Dr. Woodard shares insights into her journey from private practice to academia, her innovative research on virtual reality for breast biopsy simulations, and her leadership in radiology mentorship.
