ABC News Correspondent Jim Ryan talks about how some of the country’s best-known actors have signed on with start-up tech company ElevenLabs to license their voices, or AI-generated facsimiles of their voices, to advertisers, filmmakers and gaming companies. Front and center is Matthew McConaughey, whose improvised catchphrase “Alright, alright, alright” in the 1993 movie Dazed and Confused has made him instantly recognizable to generations. McConaughey has gone a step beyond by using his ElevenLabs clone to translate his popular podcast to Spanish in his own voice, complete with Texas drawl.
