An ecologist, politician and diplomat, Josefa has served as the Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom since April 2021. A strong advocate for gender quality, having spear-headed programmes promoting women’s leadership, professional growth, and protection against gender-based violence; Josefa also has an immediate warmth, humour and generosity of spirit that makes her stand out from the crowd.
