Herman Ross is the founder and Chief Operations Officer of National Insurance Consultants, Inc., an insurance and risk consulting firm based in Dallas/FT. Worth, TX. Initially aspiring to a career in politics, he joined Hartford Insurance after college, marking the start of his extensive career in the industry. Insurance is a family business for Ross, with his wife, Katrina, serving as NIC Inc.’s CEO, and their children also working in the industry. Recently he co-founded the Gentlemen of the Insurance Industry, an accomplished group of Black male industry leaders committed to mentoring the next generation. Recognized as a hardworking entrepreneur, has gained extensive experience in various parts of the industry. He has served on the board of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) and contributed to federal regulations for transportation projects. Ross frequently speaks at events like the Congressional Black Caucus and offers guidance to business owners nationwide….all because he got a license!
