In this fireside chat, I wanted to do a heart-to-heart for every nurse out there who is feeling the weight of our profession. After more than 32 years in nursing, I want to open up and share my own story of burnout, the constant grind of leadership, and some of the sobering lessons I've learned along the way.
I'll reflect on the incredible impact we have—how we are the instruments used to help a baby take its first breath and usher in a future president, CEO, or pastor. But I also want to share the heavy cost that can come with our work, and I'll tell you a personal story about one of my biggest regrets—prioritizing my new role at work over spending more time with my sick mom.
This episode is for you if you've ever felt:
Exhausted and on the burnt-out side of things.
The pressure to prove yourself, even when it costs you precious time with loved ones.
Unsure how to set the boundaries you need to protect your own well-being.
Join me for an honest conversation about choosing to be a healing presence instead of a toxic one and why your loved ones are more important than any job. This is my vital reminder to you that you are not defined by your burnout. It’s a call to remember your immense value and to start healing from the inside out.
