Your Italy

Italy has always been more than a destination for me - it is a calling, a connection woven into my family’s story. My Great-Grandfather, Giuseppe Franco Mulinaro, born in Gizzeria, Calabria, left in the early 1900s, sailing from Napoli to begin a new life in America. More than a century later, that same journey in reverse - from the USA back to Italy - has become my way of rediscovering the roots he left behind. Over the past few years, my wife and I have walked the cobblestone streets of Rome, watched the sun fall over the Tyrrhenian Sea, sipped espresso in Milan, and stood in awe beneath the domes and towers that define Italy’s skyline. This podcast is the story of those travels. Hopefully, our Italian Journey is both a love letter to a country that feels like home and a celebration of the simple beauty found in every piazza, plate of pasta, and passing conversation. I also hope is a tool you can use to create Your Italian journey. I want to make your trip about Your Italy. I want to help you find the reasons you want to visit Italy. I look forward to sharing stories and years of research with you to help you plan your trip.
