#9: B.C. MLA & Minister of State for Child Care Katrina Chen
In this episode, our Chief of Podcast Development Krystal Chan speaks with British Columbia NDP MLA Katrina Chen, who represents the riding of Burnaby-Lougheed and serves in Premier John Horgan's cabinet as Minister of State for Child Care. Minister Chen was born and raised in Taiwan, where her father was a member of the Taichung City Council. She has previously served as a trustee on the Burnaby Board of Education, and she worked in both provincial and federal constituency offices for over 10 years before entering politics herself. Listen in to hear Krystal speak with Minister Chen about her career and role in government, the NDP, and her advice for youth wanting to get into politics.
