This is an edited version of the Young Critics Panel discussion held at Project Arts Centre, Dublin on Sunday October 8th 2023.

Dr. Karen Fricker chairs the panel discussion around three productions:Somewhere Out There You (Nancy Harris & Wayne Jordan, Abbey Theatre), Distillation (Luke Casserly, Goethe-Intitut) and Out of the Blue (Silke Huysmans & Hannes Dereere, Project Arts Centre).

The conversation then extends to questions around what constitutes theatre, what the young people have learned during the programme and how theatre can be more accessible for young and disabled people.
