Hosted by The Zelotones, Singapore’s very own passionate, independent band, we’re all about sharing real-life stories, spreading positivity, and championing inclusion for persons with disabilities (PWD).
Meet the crew:
🎸 Zach (bass) – Founder, groove master, and proof that losing sight doesn’t mean losing vision. From navigating blindness in young adulthood to rocking the bass like nobody’s business, Zach’s got wisdom and wicked riffs.
🥁 Alex (drums) – Started on bass, leveled up to drums, now smashing Grade 5 exams like it’s no big deal. Visually impaired since young, Alex’s independence and “why not?” attitude make him a powerhouse on and off stage.
🎤 Zyana (vocals & rhythm guitar) – Our powerhouse vocalist with a heart full of stories and a guitar that never lies. Living with tunnel vision hasn’t stopped her from crafting beautiful arrangements and lighting up any stage.
🎹 Ben (keys) – The “jukebox” pianist with Grade 8 chops, a killer smile, and a life story that redefines resilience. After two serious accidents, Ben’s motto is simple: keep playing, keep glowing.
💪 The Zelotones do it all – music, admin, PR, finances – proving that disability doesn’t define limits. We use our voices (and instruments!) to amplify PWD perspectives, spark conversations, and build a more inclusive Singapore.

What’s up, ZeloFam! Welcome back to Episode 25, where we jump headfirst into the wonderfully messy topic of Competition.
And no, it’s not just about sports and trophies — although Alex is busy soaking in Arsenal’s latest win (as expected). We get into how competition shows up in real life: comparing yourself to others, dealing with outside pressure, and trying to stay motivated when everything feels a little chaotic.
Zyana shares a seriously inspiring moment — representing Singapore at a Malaysian Braille Quran recitation competition while recovering from a fever and still clinching second place in the Murattal category. Champion energy, honestly.
The convo stays light, funny, and real as we talk about why the experience, the lessons, and the growth matter way more than fame or just winning. Because at the end of the day, we rise together — and win or lose, we’re still champions. 🏆✨
