Western and Arab nations have at least one thing in common: the desire – and absolute need – for a stable Middle East. This is the primary motivating factor in pushing for an immediate establishment of a Palestinian State. Until this key issue is resolved, lofty economic aspirations for the region cannot be achieved. Yet, the sad truth remains that it is Israel who is feeling the most pressure, will have to make all the concessions, and continues to be vilified as the genocidal aggressor who is starving Gazan children and oppressing the Palestinian people. At the same time, the Jewish state is a crucial player – along with Saudi Arabia – in creating a pathway to peace in the region.
