After 12 months in the occupation he became an outspoken opponent of the war, and became known for speeches, protests, and veterans' organizing against US imperialism. Since 2015 he has been the producer & co-writer for Abby Martin's show The Empire Files, and is also the host of Eyes Left, a socialist anti-war military podcast. Mike is co-director with Abby Martin of the documentary Earth Greatest Enemy.
