Lîm Liân-hông is a junior high school chemistry teacher. He has won major awards in both Taiwan's education and literary circles: the Su-to̍k-chióng (Teacher Recognition Award) and the Taiwan Literature Award. 〈慢啼的大隻雞〉 (The Late-Crowing Rooster) is the first piece in his book, 《屁窒囡仔的謝師宴》, and it describes the first school he taught at and his first group of students. The entire book recounts his experiences as a teacher, his journey from the countryside to Taipei to study and work, and also the hardships and wisdom of his parents' farming life.

基隆中元祭是一年一擺的大活動,1927年村上英夫就共這个祭典鬧熱的情形畫佇〈基隆燃放天燈圖〉。這个畫作提著頭一回台灣美術展覽會東洋畫部的特選。咱做伙來看這幅圖,了解100冬前的放水燈遊街佮港口城市的景緻。
Ke-lâng Tiong-goân-chè sī chi̍t-nî chi̍t-pái ê tōa oa̍h-tāng, 1927 nî Murakami Hideo tō kā chit ê chè-tián lāu-jia̍t ê chêng-hêng oē tī "Ke-lang Jiân-hòng Thian-teng Tô͘". Chit ê oē-chok the̍h-tio̍h thâu-chi̍t-hoê Tâi-oân Bí-su̍t Tián-lám-hoē Tang-iûⁿ-oē pō͘ ê te̍k-soán. Lán chò-hoé lâi khòaⁿ chit-pak tô͘, liáu-kái 100 tang chêng ê pàng-chúi-teng iû-ke kap káng-kháu siâⁿ-chhī ê kéng-tì.
