Sake wa nondemo nomareruna
12月の忘年会シーズンに、よく聞く言葉があります。
「酒は飲んでも飲まれるな」という言葉です。
お酒を飲んでもいいけど、お酒に飲まれて失敗しないでね、
という意味です。
12月のこの時期は、お酒を飲んで騒いだり叫んだり、
羽目を外す人が増えるので、酒は飲んでも飲まれるな、
という言葉をよく聞きます。
皆さんの国にも、こういう言葉はありますか？
じゅうにがつの ぼうねんかい しーずんに、
よく きく ことばが あります。
「さけは のんでも のまれるな」という ことばです。
おさけを のんでもいいけど、おさけに のまれて しっぱいしないでね、
といういみです。
じゅうにがつの この じきは、おさけを のんで さわいだり さけんだり、
はめを はずす ひとが ふえるので、さけは のんでも のまれるな、
という ことばを よく ききます。
みなさんの くににも、こういう ことばは ありますか？
During the year-end party season in December,
there's a saying you often hear:
“You can drink alcohol, but don't let it drink you (literal).”
It means it's okay to drink, but don't get drunk and make mistakes.
This time of December sees more people drinking,
getting loud, shouting, and cutting loose,
so you often hear the phrase,
