Ask the right questions

    Ask the right questions

  • The world tells us that there are no stupid questions.
    • This is not entirely true because there are without a doubt foolish and senseless questions.
      • It is important to think before speaking.

Acts 16:30-34 NKJV

30 And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

31 “So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.”

  • Think and be deliberate in your questions

‭‭Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.””

Recalibration

Recalibration

The act of adjusting a device or concept to make it more accurate or appropriate for a new situation, often after a period of use or a change in circumstances.

Hebrew : Kiyul mechadesh - calibrate plus make anew/again

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying: “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!”

  • if any man is in Christ he is a new creation, behold, old things are past.
  • Your mind can be recalibrated - renewing your mind
  • Your heart can be recalibrated- give me a new heart of flesh

Revelation 2:1-5 NKJV

"To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, 'These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: [2] "I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; [3] and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become weary. [4] Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. [5] Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place-unless you repent.

  • we can ask God to press the reset button in us.

Embrace your challenge
  • Our faith is tested when a challenge appears.
  • Miracles are a product of challenges or battles for a child of God.
  • Fear poses a risk of us not meeting or seeing our breakthrough.

Acts 3:1-10 NKJV

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. [2] And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; [3] who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. [4] And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us." [5] So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. [6] Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." [7] And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. [8] So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them-walking, leaping, and praising God. [9] And all the people saw him walking and praising God. [10] Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

  • See every challenge as an opportunity to exercise your authority as a child of God.
  • The power of God is best demonstrated in our lives when we face obstacles.

Christ

Luke 2:8-11 KJV

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. [9] And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. [10] And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. [11] For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

  • The good news about Christ is for all people.
  • Celebration that we now have a saviour whose assignment is to rescue/redeem/save mankind from the danger of sin.

 Matthew 16:13-17 KJV

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? [14] And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. [15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? [16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. [17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

From help to support

 From help to support

  • Providing immediate assistance to solve a specific problem or complete a task (short term and task focused)
  • Offering ongoing assistance, encouragement, or resources to sustain someone over time (long-term, addressing emotional, practical, or structural needs)

Genesis 3:21 NKJV

Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

  • God helps His creation temporarily.

Exodus 33:14-17 NKJV

And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." [15] Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.

  • God reassures Moses that He will be with him the whole way for the mission.

Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

  • Jesus Christ has promised to be right by our side until the end.

Guard your mind
  1. Sunday 09/12/2025 - Guard your mind

  • The mind is the one place in humans where dreams are realised and also where dreams can be killed.
  • It is the place where victory can begin or failure can be the end result.
  • The mind can give birth to love or hate.

Acts 14:1-7 NKJV

Now it happened in Iconium that they went together to the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks believed. [2] But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brethren. [3] Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. [4] But the multitude of the city was divided: part sided with the Jews, and part with the apostles. [5] And when a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them, [6] they became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region. [7] And they were preaching the gospel there.

  • A corrupt mind can put a persons life at risk of eternal punishment (loss of salvation or not achieving it in the first place).

Titus 1:15 NKJV

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.

Salvation

Hello,

As Pastors it is easy to lose sight of what the sole purpose of our calling into ministry is. This is the case due to pressures that come from church members and people in general (Society expectations).

While praying, it was dropped upon my heart by the spirit to share a word of reminder on what is expected of us and what we’re looking to achieve.

Trust in God
  1. Sunday 30/12/2025 - Trust in God
  • Life is like repeating a movie when lived through the word of God
    • Something writing an exam with the answers in front of you

Isaiah 55:6-11 NKJV

Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. [7] Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. [8] "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. [9] "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. [10] "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, [11] So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Unusual things
  1. Sunday 23 November 2025 - Unusual things
  • Unexpected or surprising

Monologue:

  • Jesus Christ from the announcement of His birth, to his days as a child, to His teachings, miracles, death, resurrection, and beyond; everything was unusual/unique/different/new/surprising/etc.
    • Today you and I are called Christians; which simply put means Christ-like. That is to say there is a likeness/similarities between us and Him.
      • We should therefore also be different, unique, different, new, surprising in our generation.

Acts 28:1-6 NKJV

Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta. [2] And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold. [3] But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. [4] So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live." [5] But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm. [6] However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.

  • The news about your victory will bring panic and cause chaos for the enemy (sickness, debt, mental instability, misery, failures, anything undesired)

    • Pass
    • New souls you win for Jesus
    • Successes
    • Growth
    • Healing
    • Transformation

Joshua 5:1 NKJV

So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who were on the west side of the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel.

  • As a spiritual leader, stay calm and let the unusual things that God is doing in your life speak on your behalf, in your absence, and to your advantage.

Earn it
  1. Sunday 16 November 2025 - Earn it

John 3:3 NKJV

Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

  • Gain deservedly in return for one’s behavior or achievement.

Acts 17:11-12 NKJV

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. [12] Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.

Everything in life is earned

  • God’s glory and power
  • Christ’s miracles, faith, and trust from disciples
  • Pastor E Koney’s respect and trust that he is called by God

Love, Trust, Position

John 5:38-40 NKJV

But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. [39] You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. [40] But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

  • What you have or expect to have, you gotta earn it.
    • Apply faith, then you earn what you desire.

Relationship dynamics

Sunday 09/11/2025 - Relationship dynamics

Godmanhood, Brotherhood, Sisterhood, BrotherSisterhood, PastorMemberhood, LeaderMemberhood

Suffix “hood” - means the state or condition of being in that particular relationship.

Amos 3:3 NKJV

Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

  • All relationships evolve (develop or change).
    • Failure to understand and accept this fact results in frustration, heartbreak, and unnecessary suffering.

1 Samuel 18:1-4 NKJV

Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. [2] Saul took him that day, and would not let him go home to his father's house anymore. [3] Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. [4] And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, even to his sword and his bow and his belt.

2 Samuel 4:4 NKJV

Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel; and his nurse took him up and fled. And it happened, as she made haste to flee, that he fell and became lame. His name was Mephibosheth.

  • True relationships do not forget and are beneficial to future generations

2 Samuel 9:1,3,7-8 NKJV

Now David said, "Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?" [3] Then the king said, "Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?" And Ziba said to the king, "There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet." [7] So David said to him, "Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually." [8] Then he bowed himself, and said, "What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?"

  • Authentic relationships result in positive outcomes.
    • This means we should also be aware that there are fake relationships out there.

John 15:15 NKJV

No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Leading from the front

Sunday 02/11/2025 November - Leading from the front

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29‬:‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”

Authority and responsibility over people

  • The beauty of being human is that everyone is unique.
    • It is our uniqueness that makes us interesting individually.
  • Learn to accept that what other people do may not always be what you might regard as the norm.
  • As a parent, partner, sibling, friend, relative, neigbour, colleague, etc; you will hear and learn a lot about others.
    • What you do with this information determines your next move/step.
    • Information is powerful however it can be harmful if not applied and handled correctly/responsibly.

Exodus 32:6-14 NKJV

Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. [7] And the LORD said to Moses, "Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. [8] They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, 'This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!'" [9] And the LORD said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people! [10] Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation." [11] Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: "LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? [12] Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, 'He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth'? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. [13] Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, 'I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.'" [14] So the LORD relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.

  • Leading from the front requires:
    • selflessness
    • Caring and being considerate
    • Love
    • Willing to forgive and allow others a second chance
    • Ability to take on issues of others

Mark 2:18-20 NKJV

The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, "Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?" [19] And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. [20] But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.

  • A leader should be ready to do everything it takes, for the sake of others.
  • Defend others in their absence.

While you sleep

Sunday 26 October 2025 - While you sleep

A state of unawareness with the brain adaptive while the rest of the body and consciousness is not.

1 Peter 5:8-9 NLT

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. [9] Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.

Matthew 13:24-30 NKJV

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; [25] but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. [26] But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. [27] So the servants of the owner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?' [28] He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then to go and gather them up?' [29] But he said, 'No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. [30] Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn."'"

  • In life understand that while you ‘’enjoy’’ sleep, the enemy can easily look to take advantage of you.
    • With that said, consider to stay alert always.
      • This is a conscious decision that each one of us needs to make in life.

If not careful, you can sleep on your:

  1. Marriage
  2. Career and/or business
  3. Health
  4. Relationship
  5. Opportunity
  6. Calling / ministry
  7. Gift / talent

1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 NKJV

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. [7] For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. [8] But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

The purpose of man
  1. Sunday 19 October 2025 - Spiritual Maturity : The purpose of man

Purpose - a). The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. b). Design or intend for a particular use.

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.””

  • Speak about the need to take time with the Holy Spirit when studying the word of God (not to rush)

‭‭

  • Blessed - Best described fully in Greek using two words “Makarios and eulogetos”

    • Makarios - the state of complete happiness, fortune, and having all needs met.
    • Eulogetos - something or someone that is praised or thanked, particularly when referring to blessings from God.

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

  • FMFSD
    • Fruitful - produce
    • Multiply - increase
    • Fill - completing / overwhelming presence (ownership)
    • Subdue - bring under control
    • Dominion - superiority and authority

When you understand purpose, it then makes sense why humans love to:

  1. Create
  2. Rule
  3. Have Authority
  4. Praise
  5. Have Power

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”

The obligation of a believer
  1. Sunday 12 October 2025 - The obligation of a believer

  • Duty or commitment

Hebrews 5:12-13 NKjV

12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.

Prayer : Lord help me that I may grow to be able to digest solid teaching in Jesus name.

 Acts 17:11-12NKJV

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.

  • Every believer has a duty to fulfill when it comes to spiritual growth.
  • Hearing the word of God alone is not enough. There is a next step necessary which is validating what you hear (through reading the bible).
  • Growth is a life journey that requires commitment, dedication, sacrifice, and discipline.

‬‬ ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭2‬, ‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?”

  • There is a time where putting aside what you know will get you ahead in life.
  • Be willing and ready to be taught.
  • Correction and rebuke is part of the process, so do not give up.

Acts 17:16-21 NKJV

Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols. [17] Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there. [18] Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, "What does this babbler want to say?" Others said, "He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods," because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection. [19] And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, "May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak? [20] For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean." [21] For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

  • Learning should be a personal responsibility that a person makes it a mission to grow. Keep finding new information and use it to our benefit. Let that be a measure of your growth.

  • With love,

    Pastor Tadala

‘’If you are slack (careless) in the day of distress, Your strength is limited.”

Prayer : Lord help me through the Holy Spirit that in my day of weakness I may find strength and keep going in Jesus name, Amen.

Acts 9:37-38,40-41 NKJV

But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room. [38] And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them. [40] But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. [41] Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

  • Faith is powerful and yet when alone it is almost powerless.
  • Faith is like baby steps towards achieving your goal.
  • With your faith, add expectation, with the expectation, take action.

‭‭Acts‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.”

  • Be like a child that is waiting eagerly to receive a favorite something.

‭‭Mark‬ ‭7‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.””

  • There are many examples daily that we can draw lessons from to help us in our journey of life.

The fundamentals of the gospel - Part 3 : Hope

Sunday 28/09/2025 - The Fundamentals of the Gospel : Part 3 - Hope

Luke 15:20 NKJV

"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

Prayer : I will always return to God no matter what, in Jesus name, Amen!

Meaning - Expectation / ambition / desire / aspiration

It is in the nature of mankind to always look forward to something in life.

Hebrew meaning - tikvah : A confident expectation of a better future, grounded in faith.

1. A secret to hope is having total trust with full conviction in what you’re looking forward to.

Jeremiah 29:1-14 NKJV

2. Trust is a friend of hope

Hebrews 10:23 NKJV

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

3. Hope does not have to make sense

Romans 8:23-25 AMP

And not only this, but we too, who have the first fruits of the Spirit [a joyful indication of the blessings to come], even we groan inwardly, as we wait eagerly for [the sign of] our adoption as sons—the redemption and transformation of our body [at the resurrection]. [24] For in this hope we were saved [by faith]. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees? [25] But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.

4. Know (revelation and full conviction) and do not leave the source of your hope

‭‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

5. Hope attracts patience

Philippians 1:3-6 NKJV

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, [4] always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, [5] for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, [6] being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;‭‭

The Fundamentals of the Gospel : Part 2 - The word of God

Sunday 14/09/2025 - The Fundamentals of the Gospel : Part 2 - The word of God

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭30‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.”

Prayer : Lord I pray that my view of your word remains unchanged in Jesus name.

You cannot stop speaking about who or what you love.

There is joy in sharing what you know and have.

Acts 4:19-20 NKJV

But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. [20] For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."

In life, those who have a proven track record are listened to (verbally and/or written).

This is why we buy books or listen to any audio resources of such individuals.

Romans 10:17 AMP

So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.

NKJV

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The word of God provides a blueprint of the outcome of listening and trusting God.

Note that Jesus Christ never spoke about Himself, instead He took every opportunity to speak about His father.

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

The reality is that we are all spirit beings. As such there are spiritual challenges and battles that we engage in daily.

Which simply means it takes spiritual ability and awareness to overcome in the spirit.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;”

Having weapon and not using it is as good as not having it at all.

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”

The Fundamentals of the gospel - part 1 : Faith

Sunday 07/09/2025 - The Fundamentals of the gospel - part 1 : Faith

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Prayer: Dear God, today I choose to be willing and obedient to your word in Jesus name, Amen .

These are first principles / basics. In any field, fundamentals ( building blocks) are necessary to set the foundation of concepts to be used.

Gospel - teaching or revelation of Christ

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

[8] “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Our lack of faith surprises Jesus Christ

‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭39‬-‭41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

[39]“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. [40] But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” [41] And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!””

Power of faith

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

[1] “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [2] For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. [3] By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”

Danger of not having faith in a believers life

[6] “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Change is now

Sunday 31 August 2025 - Change is now

Romans 10:8 NKJV

But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

Prayer : Father help me that I may remain in the word if God, Amen!

We act like opportunity to change will always be there.

Take advantage of now and change.

Later is not guaranteed and the fact is that no one knows the time table of God.

Luke 16:27-31 NKJV

"Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, [28] for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.' [29] Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' [30] And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' [31] But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'"
