We are all artists.
For so many of us we can claim this in childhood when we can easily play and engage with our imaginations but we start to be separated from our artist / creative selves as we become adults and we start to feel the pressure to "grow up" and follow the adult script that makes the most sense.
In the process, we lose who we are, and we start to forget and suppress our creativity.
This then bleeds into how we feel about ourselves and life in general. We stifle our self-expression, and our lives start to be grey, no longer in the vibrancy that comes from owning all that we are.
We can also lose touch with it through attachments that mean we're unable to embrace our artist selves.
This episode is a conversation on my journey with being an artist and the different avenues and detours I have taken to get to this stage.
