The Kitchen is closed for this episode. Instead, you have two strong Jamaican women in the public eye; Rustie Lee and Simone Rielly. Simone is a radio presenter for BBC Manchester and she joins Rustie today, discussing their shared heritage and culture, going through their traditional slang and impressions for us, and the important history of the Windrush era. Lots of belly laughs! However, amongst the laughs and the wa'gwarns, they discuss some very important subject matters; pregnancies, miscarriages and post natal depression. A thoroughly poignant episode highlighting the realities that are faced and the feelings and emotions involved. This one will hit you in the feels for all the right reasons and it's truly inspirational listening to two wonderful women being so honest, open and raw. Always have hope and always speak up.
Sending everyone love.
