Welcome to A Toast to Horror: Crapshoot Edition. In the episode, much like the movie we discuss, what can go wrong will go wrong. We start off with sound quality issues and Allison forgets her notes, and everyone hates the movie. Listen to some polarizing opinions with some poor sound quality on The Monkey. This movie was lacking in everything, but imaginative deaths. Paired with a Drunken Monkey cocktail -- the drink is the best thing about this episode! Rate (not based on this episode please)! The Evil Dead
For Devil's Night, we are releasing the OG Evil Dead. This is totally a childhood trauma movie, and one of us may be over it, while one of us is definitely not. Besides the multiple eye close-ups, the filming techniques hit, and here is where we disagree--the makeup is unsettling. We may not agree with every aspect of this movie, but there are 2 things we 100% do: Scott sucks and we totally would have survived this movie! Rate! Review! Follow! Trick R Treat
Get your Halloween candy ready, and keep the jack-o-lanterns lit, because we are discussing Trick 'r Treat! This multi-story movie is quickly becoming a Halloween classic. It's a fun take on the different stages of Halloween people go through as they age, complete with cautionary tales. Listen up as we talk about how cute lil Sam is and how much we love when people get their comeuppance. Most importantly, make sure you show your Halloween spirit or Sam will get you! Poltergeist
Next up in our Halloween month is the 1980s classic, Poltergeist. Listeners, this is the OG Insidious with a better dad. Yes, we know that by current standards, the parents make mistakes, but hey, it was the 80s! It was completely normal to send your kid off in a taxi while standing on your porch waving goodbye! This movie has great scares and still holds up today - a true can't-miss horror movie! Paired with a Poltergeist Potion cocktail. Rate! Review! Follow! Talk to Me
Our Halloween posting spree continues with A24's Talk to Me. This movie begins with a bang, and the special effects are on point. This movie is chock full of creepy imagery, jump scares, and unfortunately for our main characters, awful decisions. But what do you expect? Their frontal lobes aren't developed! Listen up as we discuss just who the main villain is and why it's not good to listen to ghosts. Paired with a Little Brother cocktail.

Arachnophobia
We are back with another listener request: Arachnophobia! This 90s classic has us debating over who deserves to die, whether John Goodman is a hero, and just how much authority spider doctors have. Between giggling at sentient spiders and corpse colors, we did agree that Jeff Daniels is a real daddy in this movie. Paired with a Spider Venom cocktail. The Monster Squad
We have another viewer request locked and loaded! We watched The Monster Squad, an off-brand monster movie, where kids take the helm. This movie is peak 80s chaos, and we have lots of thoughts. Actually, we may have only one thought that we repeatedly talk about. Listen: we aren't going to apologize for saying hymen more than any two people should in a short timespan. This is either the worst podcast episode we've ever released...or the best. Paired with a Black Hole cocktail. Rate! Review! Follow! Sinners
Stop everything you're doing and watch Sinners right now! This week, we dive into the best movie we've seen all year. Even those who don't like horror should give Sinners a watch. It perfectly combines different storylines into a perfectly cohesive and hypnotizing journey. Yes, it has vampires, but it has so much more than that. We better see this movie nominated for awards season. Paired with a Smokestack cocktail. Rate! Review! Follow! Final Destination
In honor of the recent release of Final Destination: Bloodlines, we decide to watch the OG Final Destination! This movie was a great blast from the past, and it was cool to see faces that are now flying under the radar. The first 10 minutes of this movie were tense and anxiety-inducing. Listen up as we discuss all the stuff we learned about how fate/death work in the movie, how death uses liquid and winds, and how we never pass up an opportunity to ogle horror icon Tony Todd. Rate! Zombeavers
Listen, we are not saying this is a cinematic masterpiece. One of us doesn't even think this is an entertaining movie. But 2014's Zombeavers has elements that you will never see coming, and the terrible characters will have you cheering for those zombie beavers (even though the special effects may leave a bit to be desired). This movie is fully self aware and creats the most unlikely unbeatable villain in beavers. Get ready for two wild cameos and some quotes that will live rent free in your brain for weeks! Wolf Man
We are always down for a reboot, so we were excited to watch and discuss 2025's Wolf Man. This new take on a classic introduced some new elements to werewolf lore and the transformation. However, we weren't thrilled with the movie itself. We found it slow and a little lacking. We did like the practical effects in this movie and there were a couple solid jump scares, but werewolf purists would do well to stay away. Paired with a Wolf Man cocktail. Rate! Review! Follow! Dawn of the Dead
Get in, loser, we're going...to the mall and never leaving because there is a zombie apocalypse going and and we have all our basic needs met is what the main characters of 2004 Dawn of the Dead SHOULD HAVE said. Instead, they come up with a subpar plan and chaos ensued. This movie pulls no punches and is quick to get to the action. Listen up as we discuss Ving Rhames (can't get enough of him), zombie babies, and the fine line between helping obviously dead people and keeping others alive. Paired with a Lake Michigan Froth. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter Commentary
HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH!!! As has become the tradition with each Friday the 13th, we watch our man, Jason, with our husbands and comment on the film to release a special bonus episode. Paired with a Corpse Reviver No. 2. We had a lot of fun with The Final Chapter, which is arguable the best of the franchise. graduationday
To our esteemed 2025 graduates, we dedicate this episode to you! This week, we're talking about the 1980s movie (we refuse to call this a classic, cult or not), Graduation Day. This movie has it all: mystery, creative kills, the world's smallest roller-skating rink, and the longest musical performance in a movie that's not a musical. Unfortunately none of it works. Paired with a Rum Runner cocktail. Please excuse our poor sound quality and enjoy Allison's dog's last podcast appearance. Rate! Review! Follow! Heretic
If you are a door-to-door salesman, including of religion, you may want to skip our newest episode on Heretic. This recent horror movie will have you second guessing what you think is happening, and in general, whether or not it's a horror movie. the lead character could not have been better cast; Hugh Grant portrays such a charming and unassuming figure, you wonder if you should actually trust him. This movie, while interesting, raised a lot of questions for us--including who really deserved to die? Paired with a Panties Unleashed cocktail. Rate! Review! Follow! Insidious
In our newest episode, Allison decided to scar Marie for life by making her watch Insidious. This 2010 paranormal horror has scares for days leading up to the climax, but do they fall off when they're needed most? Even though the end of this movie is scary AF, we aren't sure if the sequels are worth a watch or if we should chalk Insidious up to a wannabe Poltergeist. Listen up as we debate whether the ghosts or the worst dad ever is the scariest part of this movie and discuss just how misunderstood the lipstick-face demon is. Nosferatu
On our search to find a scary vampire movie, we had a listener recommend Nosferatu--so we watched it, duh! We always watch horror movies that are recommended to us by listeners (hint, hint)! Our opinions were split on this movie, sorry Bill Skarsgard, our decomposing, mustachioed horror boyfriend! We agreed that the artistry was beautiful and we appreciated some of the unique takes on this old tale, but one of us thought this movie was so boring that no even Willem Dafoe could save it. Longlegs
Gear up, listeners, because we are talking about Longlegs--where the titular character is So evil, Nicolas Cage, who plays him, said he never wants to play a character like that again. This movie takes plot twists to a whole new level and is shot to amp up the scares and tension, but we have some hot takes as well. There were a couple areas where we wanted more from this movie and we'd love to see a prequel to fill in some gaps about Nicolas Cage's character. So Nicolas, please reconsider and do another movie so we can see more of you! Paired with a Birthday Cake Martini. Rate! Review! Follow! 30 Days of Night
Alright, listeners: we did it! We found the loudest vampire movie in existence and it is 30 Days of Night. The plot of this movie is great in theory: the vampires don't have to hide from the sun for 30 nights so they can raise as much hell as possible. However, there are too many plot holes and bad vampire-ing for this movie to be taken seriously. We found ourselves talking about anything but this movie except when it came to the vampire shrieking. Please enjoy the last unhinged 5 minutes of the podcast where we debate how to say "pull" vs "pool" and please excuse the terrible sound of the last minute and a half (technical difficulties). Abigail
Opinions were divided on some aspects of our newest release, Abigail, but there is one thing we agreed on: this movie is very entertaining. We liked how this movie poked fun at vampire lore while giving us a gory take on modern vampirism (love the fangs). Abigail should be watchable even if you're horror-shy, but there is a lot of gore so beware if that's not your thing. At the end of this movie we were left with two main questions: who is the biggest villain and is there a vampire movie out there that's actually scary??? Paired with a nasty Ballet Russe cocktail.
