Advocating for Protection
Episode 1: Don’t speak for me, I’ll speak for myself

Welcome to the first episode of “Advocating for Protection” hosted by Vittorio Infante, Advocacy advisor at Oxfam, who has a conversation with Gemma Davies, Research Fellow at ODI’s Humanitarian Policy Group, who shares her analysis and recommendations for effective influencing to protect civilians in conflict.

Gemma is incredibly knowledgeable about influencing for the benefit of civilians in conflict, and she'll guide us through coalitions, crafting the right messages and equitable partnerships between front-line advocates and global organisations. She’s also keen to share what needs to change: local protection advocates must have the space to express their views and demands. Tune in for an insightful discussion on what works in protection advocacy and what should be improved.
