Many times we discuss the issue of Sex and we are not even addressing the little issues, little issues such as dressing: That the world accepts it doesn't make it safe for our children. Let's not drive morality out the door. Our girls must not think they are the objects of sex, why the boys think they are the subject it glorifies. Let's teach proper dressing,

You can be a good person and raise children that are causing others pain, you can be a responsible human and raise troubled kids. So why do good people raise troubles kids? And rightfully so, the parents themselves are wondering what they aren't doing right.

Now, we have age restrictions on alcohol, cigarettes and gambling, because we know that an immature mind is not yet strong enough or mature enough to deal with the powers of these addicting chemicals. So we put an age limit, we have no such age limit or age restriction on social media or cell phones. So ostensibly what we’ve done is we have said to our adolescent, Hey, I know this whole adolescent thing is really stressful, so here is the vodka take as much as you need. That’s basically what we’ve done. So what we have, is an entire generation that’s growing up addicted.

If Nigeria must be good, we must first become good and raise children the good way.

Education is not just mathematics and literacy. English textbooks come with answers al the back. Real life doesn't come with a backpack of answers so they will have to find their way. Are you preparing them for days when they will have to choose between good and bad, days when they will struggle to stay alive, days when they will have to pick truth over personal gain? Will they have the answers printed in their hearts? Who is preparing our children for the street? Who is preparing them for the days when they have to choose? Even as we are concerned with our children getting all As, we must realize that education is a lot more than that. Maths, English and Science are all good but we must come to a place where we consciously bring all these learning together to achieve a common good. There is a good lesson in every course and that’s what we should be teaching along with formulas and chemical equations.

The capacity to teach our children sexuality education lies dormant until we are intentional about taking responsibility to safeguard our children from the predators lurking around.⁣⁣ So what are your reasons for not teaching your child sexuality education?
