About Dr Nesma Aboulkhair
Dr Aboulkhair is the Director of the Additive Manufacturing team at the Technology Innovation Institute’s Advanced Materials Research Centre TII-AMRC (UAE) since April 2021. Prior to that, she was an assistant professor at the University of Nottingham (UK), where she stills holds a visiting academic role. Since 2013, She has been working on Materials & Manufacturing Research; with active projects spanning across several metal additive manufacturing (AM) processes (powder based and drop-on-demand). Coming from a mechanical engineering background and holding a PhD in Materials Engineering and Materials Design, she specialises on developing new materials, materials processing, manufacturing, and characterisation for metallurgy and mechanical properties.
In this AMUG Special episode of AM Infocast we had the privilege of interacting with Diana Kalisz who has been part of 3D Systems for more than 30 years. Diana is the Vice President, Materials at 3D Systems and has been instrumental in commercializing dozens of products to facilitate the maturation of Additive Manufacturing.
This year Diana has been selected for the AMUG Innovators Award, which is bestowed upon individuals who have advanced the Additive Manufacturing Industry.

About Diana Kalisz
Diana Kalisz has been part of 3D Systems for more than 30 years – joining the company in 1989 after beginning her career in aerospace. She has worked in a variety of capacities including managing printer, software and materials programs as well as leading the company’s overall engineering organization. Under her leadership, 3D Systems has commercialized dozens of products to facilitate the maturation of rapid prototyping as well as true production applications. In her current role, Diana has a specific focus on Figure 4 printers and materials directly
used for many types of production applications.
Diana is a member of P.E.O., a women’s Philanthropic Educational Organization that supports higher education for women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College. This small organization has raised and given hundreds of millions of dollars to support women’s education.

About Edward Graham
Ed Graham, Vice President of Additive Manufacturing at ProtoCAM, has been in the AM industry for a long time. He started with ProtoCAM back in 1996, shortly after the company began, and just 10 years after the first 3D printing technology was patented. Graham experienced an evolution in the methodology of the industry, as it developed from rapid prototyping to rapid production manufacturing. Alongside this industry evolution, Graham helped ProtoCAM to develop as a company and steered it towards its current offering of unique production solutions.

About Jordan Weston
Jordan is the Manager of Operations of the Rapid Prototyping Center (RPC) at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). The Rapid Prototyping Center provides value to members of a non-compete consortium through additive manufacturing services, OEM beta testing/applications development, applied research efforts, product/process development, and education.
Jordan holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA, both from MSOE. He has been in the additive manufacturing industry since 2008 and has attended AMUG since 2012, where he has participated in numerous volunteer roles such as presenter, moderator, Track Leader Committee chair, and Agenda Committee chair. His years of service earned him an AMUG Distinguished INnovative Operator (DINO) Award in 2019. Jordan has served on the AMUG board as Director of Education and Conference since 2021.

Mark serves as President of AMUG and presides over the Board of Directors. Recently retired, he now consults on 3D printing. Mark has worked extensively with manufacturers in North America, Europe and Asia to utilize additive manufacturing successfully in their business.
Mark has held a variety of positions within the additive manufacturing industry. He has direct hands-on experience with Stereolithography, Laser Sintering, Fused Deposition Modeling, PolyJet and other AM technologies In an additive manufactruing career of over 30 years, he has been employed at Computer Aided Technology LLC, DSM Somos, Sony Rapid Prototyping Group, 3D Systems and Texas Instruments, where he has developed applications and advanced training for others.
Awards and honors include AMUG Presidents Award for exceptional service to the AM Industry as well as the AMUG DINO (Distinguished INnovator and Operator) Award.

Mikkel Pedersen is Head of Oerlikon AM’s R&D team. His team of 12 scientists and engineers provides development support to the Oerlikon AM production sites and conducts research for the additive manufacturing industry. Mikkel has worked in additive manufacturing his whole career, first joining Oerlikon AM in 2017, where he focused on projects for the aerospace, defense and space industries. Previously Mikkel worked as a Design & Analysis Engineer for additive manufacturing for GKN Aerospace Services Ltd. In the UK, where he designed components for Electron Beam Melting (EBM) and Laser Powder Bed (LPB) machines.

Alex Kingsbury is an AM Fellow at RMIT University where she leads Engagement for the RMIT Centre for AM. Currently Alex is investigating novel alloy design for the wire arc AM process. Previously Alex has worked with the AM industry, working primarily in commercialisation, scoping the technical and commercial feasibility of AM projects. Previously Alex was the director of CSIRO’s AM Innovation Centre Lab 22 and the Research Group Leader for AM. Alex has worked more broadly in metal technologies including additive manufacturing since 2011, specifically her focus in in high deposition rate technologies. Alex’s volunteer roles include sitting as the independent expert on the Standards Australia Additive Manufacturing Technical Committee and being the Regional Chair for Women in 3D Printing in Oceania. Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering from RMIT University in Melbourne; she is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Deelip is an entrepreneur with 24 years of experience in building and running Additive Manufacturing related technology companies, two of which were acquired by 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) in 2011. He created 3D Systems India as a wholly owned subsidiary of 3D Systems Inc, USA. He currently heads the company in the role of Managing Director. Initially he set up 3D Systems India as a R&D unit for 3D Systems Inc, USA. He built engineering software and hardware teams in India which helped bringing the newest 3D Systems technologies and hardware/software platforms to the market. About Lakshmi Mohanbabu
Lakshmi Mohanbabu is the only Singaporean artist selected to be part of the Moon Gallery, the first extraterrestrial gallery on the Moon comprising 100 artworks from around the world. In February 2022, the gallery will fly to the International Space Station, the final frontier of human habitat in space before its final journey to the Moon by 2025. In the creation of her two artworks for the Moon Gallery, 'the Interaction cube' and 'the Structure and reflectance cube', she worked with Singapore's NAMIC (National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster) and NTU ( Nanyang Technological University).
