President Chris Rey says saving HBCU Barber-Scotia College is part of his ordered steps. He's only been appointed since July.
And already, the college has seen its biggest homecoming celebration in years.
President Rey says his goal is to kick-off HBCU homecoming at the legacy school every year.
So save the date!
Not only that, he touts becoming one of the most affordable colleges in America.
But he has a long road ahead to solidify the 156-year old school.
It hasn't had accreditation since 2004. And last semester, it only graduated 4 students.
Even with the marred past, President Rey sees a bright future for the college.
We talk what that looks like and how the public can chip in to help.
