Happy 1st birthday to Antidote Podcast! A little late because we’ve been busy (or lazy), but here comes our anniversary episode!
We thought we would celebrate with playing something fun: Red Flags - The Game of Terrible Dates. Imagine your date has one of the best traits that you can find in a significant other, but also has one terrible red flag: from “putting air quotes one EVERY word they say”, to “wearing diapers”, or “allergic to all your favourite foods”. Will you still go ahead and go on this date?
We hope that you can find some laughters in this episode while rethinking about what you look for in a date. Everyone is special and I am sure you will find a perfect match some day💕
Thanks everyone who has been listening and supporting our journey in the past year. Can’t wait to reach more milestones through the years😍

We can all agree on one thing, relationships are not easy.
Whether you have zero experience in romantic relationships, or you've managed to stick together with your high school sweetheart for 10+ years, or you've had too many fruitless "talking phases" and you're ready to give up on love... we will all encounter headaches in one form or another. But of course, love wouldn't be the beautiful human experience as we know it without the tribulations.
Dating, in a way, is like when a patient decides on a treatment. There will always be risks in every treatment option. Some will have terrible side effects and are not worth the negligible benefits they provide (*cough ivermectin for rona*). Other therapies may have bad side effects, but if endured, can reward the patient with life (e.g. chemotherapy for cancer). There will also be cures available that wouldn't make sense for anyone to say no to. Yet, every patient values different aspects of their life, and once they choose which route to take, they will have to live with the consequences and forever continue to work towards improving their health.
Maybe what I just said makes absolutely no sense. The point is that as 25 and 26 year-olds, we are still just as lost and confused on how to find and keep love during these crazy pandemic times. We hope that you can find some peace in relating to our joys and worries about dating, marriage, and being single.
Love,

WE MADE IT. Woke up and got out of bed all 365 days of 2021! Gotta celebrate the small things in life right?
You know what they say... you have to reflect on your past to move forward... maybe I'm making that up 😝
In today's episode we reviewed our experiences of the past year: it was a rollercoaster for some, while a repetitive and somewhat lackluster chapter for others. 2021 was the year we started to see, feel, breathe the realities of adulthood. It was the first year we had full time jobs, learned how to pay our own bills, and already started to yearn the day we would no longer have to work. To be honest, the future looked a little bleak at times.
To turn things around, we talked about our hopes and dreams of what 2022 will bring. It wouldn't be a New Year episode without New Year's resolutions. The feeling of a fresh start can be that boost of motivation to kick start small changes.

The holidays are just around the corner and we all know what that means 🤩 It's time to wrap up our Christmas shopping and spread the holiday cheer. Finding the perfect gifts for our loved ones as well as the coworkers who we barely know can be challenging. We give our opinions that nobody asked for on what might be some great and not-so-great gifts, and how this impacts our decision-making process when it comes to gifting to others.
Let's not forget the beauty behind this holiday tradition and share the luuuurv 🎁💸with the people who helped make 2021 bearable for you (your family, friends, and especially the hosts of the @antidote.podcast).
If you're reading this, congrats on surviving another year of the pandemic 😎🥂 Catch y'all in the new year freshly vaccinated and ready to blast coron- alright let's not get our hopes up too soon.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉
~ Fiona, Nick, & Jenna

Does our current society allow for free will? Is it something that is even truly achievable or do our genetics and environmental factors pre-determine how our lives will unfold?
In this episode we discuss the dystopian novel A Brave New World, whether drug addictions are entirely by choice, and if we would rebel against family for opposing political or religious views.

Should you plan everything out and set timelines for goals like when to retire by? Or is it okay to go with the flow and take things slowly while enjoying your earlier years?
We ruminate on how to best approach the rest of our lives. Everyone is going to have different answers on what excites/fulfills/gratifies them, and part of the fun is in figuring that out.
