Arattai Pattarai | Episode 2 – Marandhu Pona Childhood Memories
Slam books — the original social media for every 90s and early 2000s kid. One book, many colours, endless secrets. We passed it around in class like treasure, even though it was “only for lunch break.” Someone always filled it during maths period. 😅
The pages smelled of crayons and Fevicol. Glitter pens leaked on the corners.
Favourite colour: “Blue.”
Favourite food: “Maggi.”
Dream job: “Pilot or teacher.” 🙈
We stuck bubblegum stickers, drew tiny hearts we never admitted were for our crush, and wrote “Best friend forever” for people we don’t even talk to now. Some friends wrote essays. Some simply wrote: “Same as yours.” 😏
Smiley faces had noses :-) because that was the trend. Crush initials were written… and scratched out immediately.
Today, those pages feel like tiny time machines — messy handwriting, honest answers, innocent dreams, and a whole childhood captured in one spiral-bound book.
Slam books weren’t just pages.
They were our childhood printed in ink. ❤️😭
Arattai Pattarai | Episode 1 – Tea kadai ku polama?
“Shall we go to the tea shop?” — a small question that always carried a big meaning.
The tea kadai wasn’t just a stall for tea; it was a meeting point of life itself. A place where friendships blossomed, gossip travelled faster than the steam rising from the glass, and strangers felt like neighbors for a few minutes.
In this very first episode, I share a story I witnessed at a tea shop an unexpected moment between complete strangers. A simple exchange that carried humor, warmth, and a little life lesson hidden inside.
Sometimes the best stories don’t happen on grand stages, but in the corner of a street over a glass of hot tea.
If you’ve ever paused at a tea kadai to soak in the atmosphere, you know the magic it’s where time slows down, conversations flow endlessly, and small things turn into unforgettable memories.
Tune in, relive that feeling, and don’t forget to share your own tea kadai memories in the comments below.
Stay with me… this is just the beginning. Many more stories are waiting to be told.

அரட்டை பட்டறை | New Podcast Trailer ❤️
Do you remember waiting near gate every evening for sound of the cycle bell of ice cream? Or sitting on terrace during power cuts, counting stars while cousins told silly ghost stories?
Those were the days when friendship bracelets were our biggest treasures, and one missed call meant “I miss you.”
When slam books passed around in class felt like the most important thing in the world.
When we patiently waited for Sunday cartoons, and a pen with 4 different ink colors made us feel like kings and queens.
It was a time when happiness was found in small things...
Sharing half of a Dairy Milk,
saving tickets as memories,
writing notebooks with glitter pens,
or playing cricket with broken bat
and a ball taped a hundred times.
This podcast will take you back to all those magical moments.
A place where we relive
the smell of library books,
the taste of Rasna,
the joy of getting new CD,
and the magic of simpler times.
Stay tuned & let’s walk back into those memories together.
First episode drops soon. Keep supporting & sharing.
Signing off,
