Fitness - Sweat1000 ft. Tarryn Basson

In this episode, we chat to Tarryn Basson about her experience at Cape Town gym and fitness studio Sweat1000. Starting a few years back, Sweat offers a combination of cardio-based treadmill exercise with HIIT circuits which will accelerate your heart rate and truly leave you drenched in sweat. Taught by an array of instructors, the classes are 45 to 60 minutes long and the room feels like a disco, as all the lights are turned off and replaced by disco flashes and pumping music. Tarryn and I attended our first Sweat1000 class together in early 2018 and it was the best experience we could ask for in terms of catapulting our fitness journey, motivating us, and creating our love for exercise. While we reflect on our pre-Covid Sweat days, we apply both rave reviews and some honest criticism towards the studio and just have some fun conversation around why we would recommend it to you.
