"Hey, let's use AI to dub an anime. What could wrong???" EVERYTHING!!! EVERYTHING CAN GO WRONG!!! Sorry, sorry... I'm just...this was bad. So, if you haven't heard or had the displeasure of watching while it was still up, Amazon Prime decided to use AI dubbing for multiple anime series on its site, including beloved shows like Banana Fish and No Game, No Life. And let me tell you...it was bad. Bad bad. Like, utterly disgraceful level of bad. IT WAS BAD! And while we would rather just wipe our brains and forget it ever happened, instead, Frankfurtter and MagicallyAverage decided to talk about the backlash Amazon received from fans (rightfully so) and what this could mean for the future anime dubbing. The recent vocal outburst from the anime community over the poor animation quality in One-Punch Man Season 3 certainly struck a chord within the anime industry. And so, our journey begins. Three films to wrap-up one of the most popular anime over the last 6 years. There have been many ups throughout the series, and certainly plenty of downs. Probably more downs than people would like to admit, but I digress. The first installment of the finale trilogy received immense hype across seas, with fans touting it as being the best anime film they have ever seen. So, has the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie retained its infamy and truly blow us away? Don't worry, we won't be obtuse like IGN and simply give it a 6/10 for being "clearly incomplete." But be prepared for some harsh and, quite frankly, warranted criticism from Frankfurtter and MagicallyAverage on this special BakaBites episode.
