In this episode we start to look in to second skandam, here Shuka mahamuni takes Prakshit maharaj through the process of preparing himself to listen to Bhagavatham, like all educations need certain preset credentials to go ahead and attain the knowledge, Shuka mahamuni explains the natures of mind body and soul and explains how to cleanse these to attain purity to take in the bliss of paramathman

In the later half we see some of the questions raised by Parikshit Maharaj to Shuka mahamuni about the material existence of the Supreme Being and explains how and what his body is made off. 

In this episode we come to the end of the prathama skandam of bhagavatham, here we discuss about how Maharaja Parikshit gets into a situation that makes him loose his mindfulness and does something that is against his nature and intellect, the result is a young bramhin boy Shrungi, gets enraged about what the great king has done and curses him to death by bite of a serpent in seven days for the same, which gets rejected by his father, sage Shamaika. And the following are the incidences about doing what and how Maharaja Parikshit spends these seven days in cleansing his sins and to attain moksha,

Later half we learn about the great sage Shuka, who narrates this divine bhagavatham to Maharaja Parikshat.

In this episode we see the beginning of Kali (personified form of Kaliyuga) and how Parikshith maharaj defeats him and commands him to stay in such places where he can influence people, and then we also see the narration of how even Parikshith Mahraj gets into the ill effects of Kali and get the curse of the holy Bhramins that leads to his untimely death and also observe how Parkshith maharaj after being cursed gets divine realization and goes in submission to Sukha maharshi and spends his last days in attaining moksha.

In the later half we revisit the story of the holy tale of Naladamayanti, as we saw the mention of the same in the narations of ill effects of Kali, we dive into the soul filed story and also take away the message that just the listening or narration of this divine tale takes away our sins of Kaliyuga.  

In this episode, we saw the good times under Yudishtira turn into disasters and with the soul of Vidhura entering Yudhistria, he could foresee the times and tides changing for them, so he starts his journey towards moksha and those unfolding incidences we saw under pandava mahaprasthanam, and also got to understand how yudhistira lost all his brothers in this sacred journey and was left only with his dog (Dharma personified) following him till the end. Later half we saw how the kingdom of pandavas got transferred into the able hands of Arjuna’s grandson maharaja Parikshit, and what efforts he undertook to reestablish the dharma and krishan bhakti and one such incidence where he embarked on a digvijaya yatra to establish the same. Here we was faced with a tricky situation and also a intellectual discussion with a bull (dharma) with one leg and a grieving cow (bhumatha) and gets ready to defeat a man dressed as Kali.

In this episode, we discussed about the turn of events that unfolded before Yudhistira, that made him believe the bad omens entering his kingdom, and on the other hand we discussed about the events that occurred that saw the wiping out of the entire yadava clan, and also heard about the situations that got created for ending of the divine avatara of lord shri Krishna, and also had a glimpse about the sage Astavakra and his curse.

Later we oversaw the grief ridden “Arujuna Stavam”, like had heard Kunti Stavam before, here we could see how Arjuna explains the departure of his god Shri Krishna and also remembering how the Lord had hand held them through different difficulties. 

  In this episode we continued from where we left about the path of salvation Vidhura, suggests to his relatives and guides them in to the righteous path, and also we saw the incident where, great sage and the author of Mahabharath sage vedha Vyasa, comes to the palace where Dhritharastra, Ghandhari, Kunti & Vidhura were performing the rituals for the dead family members. There with his divya drusti he narrates to them the ansha avataras of all the characters of mahabharatha. And further we see the curse of Yama Dharmaraja who had to come and take birth in the form of Vidhura, we then ended the pervious episode with the knowledge about the differentiation between body and atma.

In this episode, we discuss about a very important person who did not take part in the war of kurukshetra, and returns back after the fateful war to take stock of the situation, the name is Mahatma Vidhura, the uncle of Pandavas, and the how the conversations unfold between him and Dhutharashtra, and in the later half we discussed about how yudhistira got money for his yugnas with the guidance of Shri Krishna, who tell them how a king called Marutha got his treasures and how it got buried into the land.

In this episode we get to understand the situations in which the noble king Parikshit was born and how Suprem soul shri Krishna protected him to see the light on the earth from Aswarthamas ill-intentioned arrow, and continue to see how Dharmaraja still is reeling in his miss deeds of kurukshetra war, and decides to do yugnas to cleanse his mind and soul. Still being a king how his life is laced with difficulties related to Dharma.

In the later half we continue with story of Asthma Deva and Dunduli, & and continue to see how Dundukari attains the ghostly state of Suspended living and how his noble brother Gowkarna releases him from his current situation to attain “MOKSHA”, hence establishing the power of Bhagavatha Khata Sravanam.    

This episode starts with the emotion of belongingness and the naration of how the people of Dwaraka expressed their love and affection on return of their dear Lord Shree Krishna after the Kurukshetra war. And in the next half we continue the naration of Bhakhi devi and see who all attained the supreme shanidhya of the lord with their pure devotion and Bhakthi, we start with the tale of Prahaladha maharaja. How he renounced the throne of the Haven and seeked the lord Lotus feet. 

In the later half, we listen to a moral story of couple Atmadeva and Dunduli.

In this episode see, how a mothers (Gandhari’s) heart is filled with grief after losing her 100 sons in the battle, and also sheds off her grief by cursing Shri Krishna, which lead to the wiping out of Yadava clan, and after establishing dharma under Dharmaraj, Krishna starts his journey back home to Dhwaraka, the beautiful narration of the journey has been presented in the episode. And in the end we was the curious case of Bhakti devi and understood Bhakhi, Gyana and Vyragya are together attained only through Bhagavatha Shravanam..

We stared this episode with the continuation of kuntistavam and went on to understand the mental state of Dharmaraj(Yudishtira) post kurukshetra war, he was surrounded by many able people to console him and cleanse him of the guilt, but non impressed him not even krishna’s interference could, at this stage it was apt to put dharmaraja in front of the custodian of dhrama Bhishma Pitamaha, how was on his bed of arrows waiting to leave his material body. He consoled him and many more valuable advises.

HERE WE COULD HIGHLIGHT THE STRENGTH OF BHISHMA BHAKHI…

The war of kurukshetra was purely fought on human ego, revenge and unjust ambition. As we have learnt till now god always stands with justice and dharma, so we find Sri Krishna standing with Panadavas like a guide and savior. The idea od hearing to such puranas is to know what wrongs our ancestors have done and what was the end result of such miss deeds.. So it is necessary for us to know the tale of revenge of Dhronacharya and Drupada maharaj, which ultimately resulted in the fateful deeds of Ashwarthama and how it all ended. In the later part we hear to a humble submission of a mother “The Kunti Devi”, thanking him for standing with them through in “Kuntistavam”..

In this episode we discuss about the different means of attaining moksha, and the easiest means of reaching the destination called Nirvana.

There are various means of devotion prescribed the shastras to attain moksham like Japa, Thapa, Yagna and Dhyana. The kali yuga is described as a easiest yet contrastingly the most toughest time to attain moksham, the reason is that the prescribed path to nirvana is well defined but it still eludes the Jivathma as the Maya of kaliyuga is the strongest among all the yugas..
