Heaven Speaks 4
The Christmas day sermon was given by Owen Hylton, who reminds us that when Heaven Speaks, it shows that God revealed himself to patient, humble and faithful servant. Those who God revealed himself to were ordinary people. God chooses to reveal himself to those who are humble, patient and faithful. This means that God reveals to the following: The Father, The Kingdom, Faith, money and Satan. Jesus is God who is with us and Heaven speaks to us, which means Christmas is a great reminder of how much God wants to dwell with us through the simplicity of a child, being born in a manger.

The Angels and the Shepherds
This week, our sermon was given by Lally Wood, who drew our series to a focus on the glory of God. Lally reminded us that the angels presented themselves to the shepherds—people who were lowly and at the bottom of society. This shows that God’s glory is not for a particular group of people or a certain status, but for those who are ordinary—which is everyone. This means that God is there, waiting to extend His hand so that we may encounter Him. It is not about keeping up with the latest trends or reaching life goals, but about fixing our eyes on the Holy One, Emmanuel, who is with us—waiting for us, and calling us to trust in Him.

Heaven Speaks - The Angel Gabriel and Elizabeth
In this Advent message, Matt DaCosta opens our new series Heaven Speaks by walking us through the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth in Luke 1. Drawing from a season of divine silence broken by God’s surprising intervention, Matt helps us explore what it means to trust God when our prayers seem unanswered, when His timing confuses us, and when His voice feels distant.

Prayer Series 4
This week, Owen Hylton powerfully concluded the prayer series by speaking on the armour of God. He explained that prayer is a form of spiritual warfare, meaning we are contending with an unseen yet very real realm. God provides His people with spiritual armour to stand against the forces of evil and to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. As believers, this armour is not given to keep us in constant anxiety or to make us look over our shoulders, but to encourage us to pray—knowing that we have full access to God’s provision so that we can stand firm and pray on all occasions.

Prayer Series 3
This week, Owen continues our prayer series with a gracious reflection on God as our Father. He highlights that approaching God in this way can be challenging, especially if our relationship with our earthly father has shaped our expectations. Owen explains that our relationship with God is not meant to be transactional but deeply relational. Understanding God as Father influences how we respond to unanswered prayer, reminding us that, as His children, we are called to trust Him. Knowing God by His fatherly nature—and by His other attributes—helps us grow in deeper relationship with Him. Ultimately, it is not about us; it is and always will be about God.

Prayer Series 2
This week, Jonny Rudd continues to speak wonderfully about the importance of prayer being the fruit and not the root. He explains that in order for us to pray and hold fast to God in prayer, we must know Him—and the key way we can do that is by reading the Bible, remembering the Word, and knowing God’s character. It is through the Bible that believers are able to pray to God, trust Him and build within the church family, even when the storms of life hit.

Prayer series 1
This week, Owen wonderfully begins our new series on prayer, exploring the importance of looking to God and what that truly means. He shares how we can turn to God and pray even when life feels challenging or bleak. Through prayer, we’re reminded of God’s nature and character — that when we fix our focus on Him, we can trust that He is the one who answers and responds in His perfect way.

It is not about Me.
This week's sermon, shared by Matthew DaCosta, reminds us that spiritual gifts are not about us—they are given to unify the Church and build God's Kingdom. As one body made up of many parts, each role is vital and dependent on the others. We're encouraged to seek the gifts, even the greater ones, but always keep our eyes on God—the source of all things—who guides us in using them to serve His Church.

The Variety of the Gifts
This week, Dan Featherstone reminds us of the diverse gifts within the Church. These gifts are not for our own glory, but are freely given to serve one another. As members of the body of Christ, we are called to desire the gifts of the Spirit—not for selfish gain, but to lead with love and humility. This begins with cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit, which shapes our character in Christ before we serve with our gifts.

The Purpose of Gifts
Owen Hylton beautifully introduces our new series, The Gifts of the Spirit, offering a thoughtful and inspiring overview of their purpose. He explains that the gifts are intended to bring unity, maturity, and edification to the Church. Rather than being used for personal recognition, these gifts are to be exercised from God’s perspective — to build up the Church and foster unity among believers. Owen reminds us that spiritual gifts are not about showcasing individual ability, but about surrendering them to God so they can fulfil His purpose in advancing the Church.

Baptism and Testimony Service
This sermon was delivered by Daniel Featherstone, who explores the true meaning of baptism for the believer, using the story of the adulterous woman. The story is a powerful example of what Christ has done for the family of believers: in Him, life is made new, sins are forgiven, and we are given the freedom to live without returning to sin. In the same way, baptism is a public declaration of this transformation—a vow made to God, where the believer commits to walk in His ways and live in the freedom Christ has made possible.

Proverbs 5
DISCLAIMER: This is a sensitive topic. In this sermon, Nick Wood courageously explores what the book of Proverbs teaches about relationships and sex. With honesty and biblical insight, he addresses this important yet often difficult topic, reminding us that sex is a good gift from God—meant to be honoured and not misused. Nick highlights the spiritual, emotional, and physical consequences that can arise when this gift is distorted or taken outside of God’s design. This message calls believers to approach sex with integrity, respecting both themselves and others in the light of God’s wisdom.

Proverbs 4
This sermon, given by Jonathan Rudd, explores how we seek wisdom from within the family of believers. As the Church, we are blessed with spiritual siblings and spiritual parents who support us as we walk in the way of the Lord. However, accessing this wisdom requires humility, effort, and vulnerability. Though this may feel uncomfortable at first, it creates space for us to grow in relationship—not only with our Father in heaven, but also with one another—so that we can seek wisdom for every situation through those He has placed in our lives.
