Between Two Worlds
Scott Trout
60 episodes
A podcast about belief, un-belief and everything in between. Hosts Scott Trout (a Christian from America) and Joey Vervaart (an Agnostic from the Netherlands) come from two different worlds, yet they believe in the power of conversations. Here they seek to give space for people to share their stories of faith (or lack thereof) and how those beliefs are lived out. They are hoping that through the back and forth of differing ideas, better ideas can emerge, promoting greater dialogue between those who believe in God and those who don't. 43. The Pope, Purgatory, and Other Catholic Controversies-- Paul Graas (Part 2)

Celibate Christian, Catholic Historian, and Leader in an Opus Dei Residence in Amsterdam, Paul Graas jumps back on to talk about all the Catholic controversies that Scott and his Protestant friends could think of. They went into the Pope, Purgatory, Praying to Saints, Praying to Mary, Political corruption in the Church's history, and sexual abuse by priests. Paul also takes time to share what he thinks non Christians are missing out by not believing in God, namely that they can't live life with a sense of humor. Find out more and listen!

Paul's Part One: Listen to Paul's first episode to find out how he heard from God to live a celibate life and how it was the most fulfilling choice he could have made. Paul has a unique ability to articulate Catholic doctrine in ways that Protestants can relate to. He is also a published author, a co-host on the Dutch podcast Goed, Beter, Best, and an expert on character formation and spirituality, especially on topics concerning the digital world, like social media, porn, screens, etc.
