Kate wasn't sure she wanted to be a vet and without the required subjects for traditional course entry, she embarked on Nottingham's 'prelim' course. She took her time exploring options with mixed practice, first opinion equine, before undertaking an internship. Following this she used her 'veterinary passport' to make the most of seeing the worlds and has settled for an antipodean life as a repro vet... for now! Imogen is a first opinion practitioner at Bell Equine, in Kent. With unwavering passion she chairs the Ethics & Welfare Committee, heads projects which focus on welfare, and has started planning Congress 2026 with welfare forefront and centre.
