Bible Questions Episode 300 (Difficult Bible Questions)
In this episode, evangelist Alan Hitchen joins us to discuss difficult Bible questions. There are some spiritual questions that can be difficult to answer for a variety of reasons. For instance, sometimes the Bible does not answer the question or sometimes that answer may cause us to have to choose between two clear biblical commands. We will consider some of these questions today, including these: If a woman is divorced by her husband for any reason other than sexual immorality, according to Matthew 19:9, she would be an adulterer if she remarries. Does this mean that she cannot remarry, if she is the "innocent party"? Can someone lie to protect themselves from physical harm? I am thinking of the example of Abraham telling Sarah to lie to protect themselves from harm. How do I handle a situation where I must choose which one of God's laws to follow? For instance, I am commanded to give on the first day of the week, but I am also commanded to honor my father and mother (Eph 6:2). What if I only have enough money to fulfil one of these commands? biblequestions.org
