And it's over. I don't know if you had noticed but 2019 is officially history. The keen eyed among you probably notice these kinds of events but it took us a whole month to realise and get a podcast out. In this episode we are going to run through some of the highlight games we played in 2019. George finally played Red Dead Redemption 2, so there is a big bit of chat about that game. Nevi also sings the praises of Sekiro and Hollow Knight. While Gav talks about games that I've forgotten while writing this. Ringing in a belated gaming New Year with the first 2019 episode of the Bits & Pieces podcast, the lads gather round to discuss Waluigi-related conspiracy theories and what the year holds in gaming.

It’s a bit late, but it’s Christmas so that’s my excuse. They’re making a new Sonic Movie and Ol’ Blue is looking real weird so obviously, we talked about that. Red Dead Redemption 2, check. God dammnit get that game out on PC, I need to ride off into that sunset sooner or later. Anyway, I’ve been handed a beer and it’s almost 7pm on Christmas Eve. Some other games get a look in I believe, there’s a festive quiz* of sorts, it’s basically a whole podcast. So from all of us have a good Christmas. Assassins Creed: Odyssey, that comes up.

George and Gav here, unfortunately, Nevi was away this episode so there was no one to stop us getting all nostalgic about games that came on multiple discs. It's a blast from the past in this podcast special episode with some chats I had at the 2018 UKGE. I was lucky enough to chat with so many people through the expo and managed to record a few of those conversations.  Being the idiot that I am, some of the recordings were completely unusable due to me not plugging in the mics correctly... Hello! It's time for another Bits & Pieces podcast. This time we have episode number 15 for your listening pleasure.  In this episode, George shares his reforged love of the Brothers in Arms franchise. There's a new Star Wars game by Respawn Will Fallout:76 be ruined by griefers? How faithfully will Forza Horizons recreate the M25 as the racer moves to the UK? Missing the opportunity for a joke about being able to kiss people in Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Love Island. Smash Brothers now features every brother that ever smashed. All that and more, as the boys grapple with the amorphous blob of video games news that oozed out of E3.

Here is a 'Talkthrough' of me playing The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. This is the classic Fighting Fantasy book that started the series. In this podcast, I read through the entire book - or at least as much as you can in a single playthrough.  There is a part in the middle where I get horribly lost and start to lose my mind so I won't hold anything against you if you skip past this section. Trust me it was a lot longer before the edit, but there still a lot of me going "Have I been this way? I've definitely not been this way. Oh wait, yes I have." but if you are happy to listen to a 27-year-old man go insane while reading a book, then enjoy. There is a plan to 'Talkthrough' more of these books as I have a huge stack of them. The next one will be The Citadel of Chaos. Howdy stranger, not seen you roun' these here parts befor'. It has been a while since we have podcasted, I fully accept that. Things happened and we got busy, sorry. Anyway, we are back now. Here to tell you all about Far Cry 5 (and spoil the ending, so keep an ear out for that), Orwell: Ignorance is Strength (and how that is a telling representation of modern-day life), and a quiz about my PSN stats (not the most enthralling quiz, but it was impromptu).
