“Free your mind,” Morpheus said… and maybe he was right.
In this episode, I look at how identity can feel like an avatar in the Matrix, shaped by invisible webs of culture, work, education, family, friends and expectation.
I also share what I experienced at 30,000 feet, seeing the mountains and rivers from the sky that looked like childhood sandbox patterns, and how the larger scale fractals reminded me of the little boxes we live within in our unexamined lives.
From my own internal shift from stoic Japan to the freedom of expression in the US, I reflect on how our lives are often defined by only a handful of people and what it means to break out of those confinements.
Along the way I touch on the importance of celebrating small wins, cultural/identity shifts within and the mystery of time.
In the end I return to the truth I have found, every day we live and every day we die, and the present moment is eternity.
And Better Late Than Never can be more than a title, it can be a philosophy for how to live freely.
Thank you for being here.
And remember.. it’s Better Late Than Never…!
You deserve the best.
We deserve the best.
Have a wonderful day, night, wherever you are.
Love and gratitude,
Kit
