On this episode: We started off with a jubilant new Houston “Asteroids” fan celebrating almost catching a baseball in play with his son. Florida is back to doing Florida things and Bunnell Elementary singles out its black kids in an assembly targeting standardized test scores. We examined a three pillar plan for achieving mental wellness, and wished Coco Gauff mental stability as she headed into the US Open as an African American Teen. Spoiler Alert: She did the damn thing the following day becoming the 4th American Female Teen to win a major, 3rd at the US Open, and 1st since Serena Williams did it in the early 2000’s. Congratulations CoCo! We’re extremely proud of you! Afterthought, we compared Coco to Sha’Carri Richardson who overcame adversity to win the 100m dash at the World Championships in Budapest. Forgot we hadn’t recorded since then, salute to that young woman as well.
