12/3/2025 - The main purpose of this podcast was to get everyone locked in for the completion of 2025 and into the New Year!! There are numerous ways to handle the holidays and many people tell themselves that they will "start strong" at the beginning of the New Year. We don't believe in that mindset, and we honestly worry and are concerned for those who feel like they will be able to get right b ack into the swing of things "easily". Health and Fitness is something that should be maintained, and there was some tough talk today, but I hope you find it motivating.
11/19/2025 - Absolutely great podcast, wish we had more time for the episode because the 25 minutes flew by. We went over all the happenings not only at the gym coming up, but also around the area with competitions as well as the new announcement of Hyte CF's competition on the 21st of March. Please tune in and enjoy!!!!!!
11/13/2025 The guys talk about the trip to Buffalo for a bot then get on the topic of what its like to train in the cold weather and as the temperature starts to drop in Florida, this is a very valuable conversation!! We also go over the Thunderstruck lifting competition and how proud we are of all of our ladies that always compete and throw down! Tune in!!!
11/5/2025 We go down memory lane of some CF competitions we did when we were much younger in the sport, it was a very good time. We also talk about what makes a good competition, how you can run a good competition, and thoughts of that nature. We are also super excited for our four ladies competing at Thunderstruck weightlifting competition this weekend!!!!
10/22/2025 On today's episode the guys go over everything you need to know for this weekends competition at CrossFit 239 - Kegs & Kilos. REMINDER: we still have a normal class schedule this Saturday even with the competition going on so please get yourself into the gym and then you can make your way over to cheer people on! (If you have time).
10/15/2025 Great episode today talking about what's coming up at the end of this week, next week, next month, end of the year, next year lol so many things going on!! The big topic today was talking about all of the potential our gym has to have numerous athletes compete in the CrossFit Open and then qualify for Quarterfinals in the process. We were naming names on the spot - SO NO ONE GET OFFENDED- thank you;)!
10/8/2025 Back after two weeks, it's good to be back on the podcast. We break down all of the competitions coming up over the end of the year 2025, but also looking forward to 2026 as well. Then we go over the reason why we took a two week break...
9/10/2025 Great podcast swinging right out of the gates where the guys talk about the opening of the week and On-Ramp starting and the energy lately in the gym. After that the guys dive into a topic relating to barbell club and how everyone needs to be more encouraging for people to stay lifting during the given time domain, and not sit out when their counterparts are continuing to increase in weight. After that we go into another talk about mental health and talk about our dad passing with his 15 year anniversary of his death happening last Friday.
9/3/2025 Shorter episode, but an absolute great listen for those who have been struggling with life potentially inside or outside of the gym. We talk about the notion of "stacking' good day together, and the ability to recognize how to get out of bad days when you're in a funk.
8/27/2025 After a week away (Because somebody forgot the memory chip at home(me) we are back in action and we have three main topics that we covered. The title might give one of those three away, but you have to listen to see the real meaning behind why that is a legit question. Second, we talked about how to handle having bad days at the gym and why it's okay for it to happen. Third, we go over why standards are so important to our gym culture and why we think that it has been so refreshing lately with our athletes buying in to why standards are so important.
8/13/2025 The guys are back from their week long vacation and we're excited to take on this week back to work and training. It feels so good to be back after our time off, and be around our Bloodline Crew!!! We recap our vacations for a bit, and then get onto some gym info that is happening over the next few weeks of summer and what we can look forward to. Finish by talking about the CrossFit Games champions and a specific topic from Jayson Hopper that is very near and dear to our heart when it comes to training.
7/30/2025 Starts off with an incredibly interesting question from Coach Jake which the leads the guys down the road with about 10-15 minutes of conversing on the topic. Good chat. We then move right in to talking abut how we think people should be approaching this next week off and the how the decisions they make could impact all of the progress they've made in a positive or negative way.
7/23/25 We meet again...on today's episode we talk over how awesome this training week has been for not only ourselves, but for the gym in its entirety and we go over how great it has been at the Free Trial Class when people are bringing their kids into the class to participate!! We then take an immediate turn into breaking down the CrossFit Games released workouts so far and we had a lot of fun with that.
7/16/2025 We finally have an episode again LOL I know its only been one week away from the podcast even though it was recorded (I promise) but its good to be back and successfully able to upload this episode. We recapped last weeks episode and then got into our thoughts about this weeks training as well as reminder about our upcoming week off/closed at the beginning of August.
7/2/2025 What an awesome debate we had today on the topic of: Do you think someone would cancel their phone, and phone plan or their gym membership first...for us it was a pretty simple debate! Hope you enjoy it as well. July 4th 8am and 9:30am only!
6/25/2025 The guys breakdown this past weekend over in Daytona, FL at the Atlantic Coast Classic which has the largest number of athletes in an 'open" division competition in the state of Florida. We broke down how the Bloodline Crew performed, our thoughts on the competition overall, as well as some things that we encountered while being at the comp that made pause and think. Enjoy!!
Today we're discussing nutrition and eating for competitions, in lieu of The Atlantic Coast Classic (ACC) CrossFit competition this weekend. This Bonus Episode features Nikki Plumlee, owner of Tough Love Nutrition of SWFL.
6/11/2025 What a great flowing episode of the podcast today starting with assessment of the workout from Monday and Tuesday, and then going directly into talking about the big announcement that Coach Jake is going to be a dad!!!!!! Then finish with a little talk about being a dad or mom, you should never feel selfish for taking care of your health and fitness and going to the gym on a consistent basis.
6/4/2025 Episode was jam packed at the beginning talking about schedule leading up to ACC, both for athletes who are practicing and competing, but also how the gym will be operating that weekend (closed). Also, talked about our (now) annual week off that we take in August. Finally and in depth review of our athletes that competed at the Thunderstruck weightlifting competition this weekend at Thunder Performance and how I viewed it for them with a coaches lens.
