This week Andrew and I discuss how to beat the system and spend less time in line waiting for attractions!
Of course as we insiders know, The Line is the Ride! (This is of course a not so subtle hint to go buy a t-shirt in the But. MOSTLY Disney store!)
We run through some strategies, some tips and sometimes just some dumb luck that might help you enjoy more time riding than waiting!
This also our 50th episode! How crazy is that?!?!
And if you have a few seconds, please leave us a review! And if you are really feeling frisky, share this with someone you think might like our little weekly meeting!
This week we are talking about the Swan and Dolphin's Food and Wine Classic - not to be confused with Epcot's Food and Wine Festival! (We will get to that one later!!!)
My wife and I hopped down to Orlando to attend this pretty amazing event! While it's not cheap - it does have a lot to offer. And if done right some might even consider this a pretty good value!
We also had dinner at Top of the World, I mean, California Grill over at Disney's Contemporary Hotel! So you can hear our review of that experience!
So join us and find out how everything turned out and then you can decide if either of these things are worth your hard earned money!
And please leave a review! It really helps us to grow our audience!!!
Thanks and have a spectacular day!
Tonight we are joined by the legendary Tim Foster from Celebrations Magazine! It’s really a fantastic way to bring a little magic home and drop you off into the Most Magical Place on Earth! He also hosts the Celebrations Disney Podcast - yet another fantastic way to throw some magic into your car ride or workout! He also puts out amzing coffee table books and this week we will talk about It’s a Small World - The Definitive Addition. I have it on my cofee table and it’s truly a comprehensive look into one of Walt’s most iconic rides.
I will say this was a tough one! We stream this show live each week (Tuesdays at 730pm - please swing by and join us in the chat!) and this week we had some technical issues to say the least. And in the interest of being genuine I left some of the chaos in. It adds a little flavor! Plus, aren't our imperfections what make us perfect - or something along those lines!
So have fun and enjoy! And if you like what we are doing please leave us a review and follow us over on YouTube and all the social medias!

Oh boy, as our pal Mickey is wont to say, this is a good one!
First and foremost we have our buddy Jeremy Stein from the Main Street Magic podcast joining us this week and he is a true Disney expert.
And this week we talk about raising our kids with a little Disney magic!
Disney gives us a lot! And i think that some of what we get from the movies and the parks translates to putting some pretty good techniques for bringing up happy and well adjusted kids...not that I consider myself well adjusted!
It's a fun episode and chock full of great info and it's a ton of fun!
And while you're here please leave a like and a review and help others find us and join the fun!!!
So why? Why do we do this podcast? Why is there a But MOSTLY Disney YouTube channel? Why all the social media?
Om one hand there is an easy answer - we love Disney and want to share it with you - the listener. But a bigger question might be why go through all the work and time it takes to get all this together each week?
On this episode we explore a little bit about why we have committed so substantially to this endeavor and maybe how you can follow your dreams and make them into reality!
We talk about Lou Mongello's Momentum Workshop - which I just returned from. He puts this event on every year and it focuses on making you passion into your job - which is what we are try to do with But MOSTLY Disney! So if you've wanted to take something you love and make it into something you do this is a great episode to maybe dip your toes into and see how the water feels!
We of course wind around through a few other topics here and there so as always it's a great episode to get a little Disney fix in your week!
And if you have any questions about vloggin, podcasting, Disney or really anything else please reach out anytime - obviously I love to chat!
They seem awesome. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween - A Very Merry Christmas - Jollywood Nights - they promise shorter wait times for attractions, characters in special holiday garb, fantastic food options. But all this holiday cheer comes at a price...and it's as much if not more than a park ticket.
Well, Andrew and I have been to all of them. And what started out as a mystery topic night turned into a discussion about whether or not we should give Disney all this extra money.
I don't mind letting you know ahead of time that these parties really do offer some incredible extras you can't find anywhere else, but it's going to be up to you to decide if the hold enough value for you!
So give a listen and then let us know over in the But MOSTLY Disney group if you are willing to cough up the extra dough to acquire all these extras!
And make sure to check the YouTube channel and subscribe to the newsletter!!!
While I am still a few episodes behind, I am working on catching up with the audio. If you really need a But MOSTLY Disney fix you can always head over to YouTube and grab a little bite there...or would it be byte? I am not certain.
What I do know is here is our Top 10 list of animated Disney films, not necessarily in any order. We also grouped Pixar in here which is not meant to offend any purists, but we thought it would be better to include.
So let us know how we did! Join us in the comments over on our But MOSTLY Disney Facebook page and tell us which films we missed in the comments! Or feel free to praise us and that we nailed it and our lists were perfect. We love feedback. Especially when it feeds our ego a little bit!
And then join us LIVE in the comments every Tuesday night at 730pm both on Fcaebook and Youtube! You can quite literally control the show through your computer!!!
Since I am moving a little slow right now, I was thinking about being in the parks and where the best stops to stop and smell the roses…and by that I may or may not mean take a nap! So join us as we pull back from our normal 30,000 steps a day and rest our eye lids in some (maybe) secret spots!
We all know that 20,000 steps at Disney World is amatuer level numbers. I have seen much a higher step-counts by lunchtime! But there other ways to get around.
And yes, I am fully aware of how far behind I am on uploading shows the internet. I am working on it! Good news is I am back with a vengeance so if you need some But MOSTLY Disney goodness fora road trip - you are going to get a bunch over the next few days! SO stay tuned and enjoy this chapter in our Disney saga! And on this episode we will chat about other ways to move or around the parks…or anything else you might like! I keep trying to tell you: join us live in the chat and you can quite easily control the whole show. We are happy to be distracted!!! SQUIRREL!!
After seeing both Paint the Night and the Starlight parades at Disneyland and Disney World respectively, it made us start thinking about all the Disney parades that have come and gone. Some short lived, some had longer tenures and some were just gone too soon (Main Street Electrical Parade I am looking at you!!!)
So this week we run through and talk about some, if not most, of these incredible, show stopping, fire breathing good times. It takes an incredible amount of effort to put these parades - together from making costumes to rehearsing the songs and dancing to building the fantastic floats - so why shouldn't they have their own podcast episode!
And don't forget to join us on most Tuesdays live in the chat on Facebook or YouTube to be part of the show...everything's better live!!!!
And then follow us on all the social medias to find out what's going on and how you can be part of our fun little community. We just love sharing and talking about all this Disney stuff...well, at least MOSTLY Disney stuf!!!
So are you West Coast or East Coast? Small castle or big castle? Are you Walt or Roy?
Or are you like me and the answer to all these questions is - YES! Well, this week on the But MOSTLY Disney podcast we compare and contrast each park. We went out to celebrate Disneyland's 70th anniversary and really had an incredible time.
Spoiler alert we love both parks and it's almost impossible for us to pick a favorite (though Orlando you are my home) but sit back and join us as we tell what's different and what we were out favorites!
Enjoy!!!!
Orlando is hot. And it might be a different kind of hot than anywhere else in the world. Maybe it's the concrete. Maybe it's all the vacationers crammed into a confined space as they are all heading to the same places.
I don't really know but it's a lot!
So this week we throw out some strategies to keep the heat at bay. Or at least to minimize the effects of the blazing Orlando sun. The key is always to stay hydrated guys. Drink lots of water!!!
So jump in with us. And join us live each week in the chat to join the conversation so you can tell us your tips and tricks. After all, you are the expert!
And please hit up the website to subscribe to the newsletter that I sometimes send out. Hit up our YouTube channels (But MOSTLY Disney and MouseGears) and of course follow on all the social medias for videos and info!!!!
We've been going to Disney for a long time! Every year since 2006. And we have spent a lot of money on these amazing trips! And while I do not regret one single dollar we've spent, DVC has always lurked over in the corner, taunting me with saving and benefits, but seemingly out of reach financially.
It's a big investment up front. One we could arguably not afford for most of our young lives. But the folks who but in seem to love it. And there is no doubt that it would have paid for itself over and over again for our family. Did we make a mistake? Are we better off the way we vacationed?
Join us tonight and we'll run through the ups and downs of being a DVC owner. Andrew and I have lots of questions and our guest Jason Cowell is a literal wealth of knowledge on the subject!
So enjoy the show and don't forget to join us each week live in the chat so you can ask your own questions!!! See ya real soon!!!!
So I just realized that I did not get this episode uploaded before I left for vacation! And it's a REALLY good one.
I have been to Disney World countless times. I feel pretty confident when I put together a Florida trip. The west coast, however is a whole different animal!
Fortunately I have a true expert in my arsenal. Stacey - The Disney Hotel Lady - has come to my rescue! Nobody knows Disneyland Hotels better than her! And this week she guides us through the maze of Anaheim resorts! Do we stay on property? Do we splurge on something fancy? Do we go kitschy and original? Or do we need something really close to the gates?
All these questions and more get answered as we plan our west coast adventure! So join Andrew, Stacey and I this week for some exciting Disney planning!!!
So if you don't know and follow Andrew Prince - You are truly missing out! His YouTube channel "Accessible Adventures with Andrew" is chock full of great videos about cruising and Disney, among other things, and gives you some great tips and ideas - whether you need different access or not! Andrew is one of the most fun loving and positive people I've met! And his disposition is definitely infectious!
On this episode we are not only joined by Andrew but also his mom Vanessa Prince. And between them they have been on over 50 cruises. So the word "expert" may not be powerful enough! They are chock full of tips and tricks to make your Disney experience better. They also have a great perspective on traveling through the Disney properties and ships when using a wheelchair. It's good to know that Disney seems to keep striving to make as much as possible available to as many as possible!
So have a little listen and then head over to YouTube to check out Andrew's channel! You can thank me later!!!
What better way to honor the sacrifice of our fallen military than by discussing the deep patriotism of Walt Disney himself. The beginning monologue in Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress proclaims that Walt was as about American as anyone could be. And he himself said, "If you could see in my eyes, the American flag is waving in both of them and my spine is growing this red, white and blue stripe.”
Well, I am fan-girling out here a little! Brian Crawford is here...and if you don't know his name you might recognize his YouTube channel - Keeping Walt in Disney!!!
His YouTube channel and Instagram (of the same name) are some of the best Disney content on the internet! Well, particularly for folks of my age! These videos he has curated are the memories of my childhood! And they are call cataloged into one perfect package!
So come join. us for a little bit to see what makes him tick! We also explore a bunch of other topics...but MOSTLY Disney stuff!!!
Well, this is a fun one! Andrew and I talk to our Beatrice Beadizfan about the joys of working as a cast member at the happiest place on earth!!!! I mean be honest, no matter our station in life, we all secretly pine to work for the Mouse! It's possible that it's just me, but I do think there is a fascination for those of us on the outside to know all the secrets and philosophies behind Disney's staffing and managing the folks who make all the magic! We each have at least one story of someone at the parks going above and beyond to make our vacation perfect! And it must be amazing to be the one who gets to make that happen!
So enjoy listing to some tails from the behind the Utili-doors and don't forgot to join us each week Tuesday-ish, LIVE in the chat to ask your own questions and share your, MOSTLY, Disney Stories!
