It was a tough week for the Vancouver Canucks, the Vancouver Goldeneyes, and the Anaheim Ducks. Why the Ducks? Well they lost to the Canucks. So maybe that's a good thing. The Canucks find a way to grab 3 points in 3 games on the road, while the Goldeneyes had themselves a pair of 5-1 losses. Anna & Chris wonder if either is close to turning a corner or if the forecast remains poor.

Anna & Chris share some big podcast news, announcing that the Vancouver Goldeneyes will now be featured alongside the Vancouver Canucks! The pair then dive into the performances of the two teams, with the Goldeneyes kicking off their season on a good note while the Vancouver Canucks get all their notes wrong over the past week. And with a new team in the market already generating some buzz, alongside another going on an absolute tear of the season, do the Canucks need to be worried?

In a week where the Vancouver Canucks chose to shoot the puck for a couple of games, and decided to reverse course and avoid shooting the puck in a couple others, it left Anna & Chris wondering... why?! The pair react to the wackiness of getting 4 points out of a possible 8, Petey's deployment and why you can't spell Selke without Pettersson, and how the team has decided it's best to be "in it to win it."

In a week that Chris predicted would be full of downs, the Vancouver Canucks decided to have a couple ups. Credit to Anna for having some optimism. The pair discuss the odd performance over the past week, with wins against Nashville and Columbus and a third-period cave-in loss against Chicago, and wonder how that sets up that week that will be. And with Demko undergoing "emergency maintenance," how does the team persevere through it all?

The Vancouver Canucks get two gutsy wins out of four, so why don't Anna & Chris feel so good about them?! Maybe it has to do with the two lackluster losses and the slew of injuries the team is dealing with. But it's not all gloom & doom. Kiefer Sherwood is in early contention for the Rocket Richard trophy. Drew O'Connor scored two goals in ONE GAME! Maybe the sun is starting to shine?!

Anna & Chris get punished for their optimism as the Vancouver Canucks wrap up the road-trip with a couple of stinkers, only to find a way to lose against the Montreal Canadiens at home. The two pick apart what little went right, and what they think the coaching staff need to do to get the Canucks back on the positive side of things.

Are the Canucks... good? With a PDO through the roof, the team has put together a pretty decent road trip to start the season despite issues & injuries taking their toll. Anna & Chris share a few thoughts on what's gone right, what's gone wrong, and whether the NHL will ever take player safety seriously.

Now we are really in the dog days of summer but the NHL Europe Media tour has kicked off so bad player drawings are incoming, training camp will be here before you know it. Anna & Chris do their thing and outline who will have "a year," who MUST have "a year," and why this could BE "the year" for Quinn.

Chris is back, the Vancouver Canucks are not, and Summer is hotter than blazes. Elias Pettersson didn't get traded. Conor Garland and Thatcher Demko got extended. And the big splash the Vancouver Canucks made in free agency was bringing back Brock Boeser for a handful more seasons. Sure it might appear they didn't think that would happen and thought it best to trade for Evander Kane. But who's really keeping track of these type of things any way?

Anna & Chris discuss the Cup victory and what it will now mean for a bunch of players in the A, a coach that might get a job elsewhere, and if it bodes well for the future of the Canucks.
