The Evaluation

About a year ago, our toddler was evaluated for speech delay. This resulted in getting support from a speech therapist, and also experiencing a flood of emotions as I tried to figure out what this delay meant about my parenting. Expectations, whether imposed by others or yourself, can feel like an incredible burden to carry. At the end of the day, I had to remind myself I was created for such a time as this to be exactly the mother I am to my children. This includes taking advantage of resources around me to equip myself to support my son's learning. Subscribe to be updated on new episodes. Follow us on Instagram at @callingmamablog

Entering a New World

With the birth of my first son, also came the birth of a whole new world. In this episode, I talk about the importance of preparing for the fourth trimester with much, if not more, emphasis as preparing for labor and delivery. Hindsight is 2020! Boy, I wished I'd prepared as much for life after birth as I did for the birth itself. Subscribe to be updated on new episodes. Follow us on Instagram at @callingmamablog
