Canada, As I See It
Fireside Chat Club Of Canada

This is my view of Canada. Several years ago, I began writing essays based on the Canadian facts and people described on a t-shirt that I had! I’ve taken these essays, added some historical facts and new discoveries and now present them as I am known to do by friends and family - as a tangent-laden, fireside chat story. Please enjoy!

#85 - The First Big Trip
You always remember the first. First day of school. First job. First love.   Today, I'm going to tell you about the first trip that Caroline and I took together. The first big trip.   Plenty of links to check out today, and a new one...a photo album. All can be seen at my site: https://whorpole.ca   Join me, as I take a trip down memory lane, on a highway...and a train...and a canoe...   If you do have any questions, or is there something that you would like me to talk about?   I encourage you to contact me at AsISeeIt@whorpole.ca – and let me know - I'll mention you on the show (unless you don't want me to) – and you'll forever be able to say, “I got James to say my name, way back before he was a super celebrity!”   Check out these links mentioned in this show – and others, just because: Photos from our triphttps://whorpole.ca/Photos-from-our-trip-to-Cochrane-2004/ Cochrane, Ontario https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cochrane,_Ontario   The King's Highways – Downloading https://www.thekingshighway.ca/jan11998.html   The Polar Bear Habitat Site https://www.polarbearhabitat.ca/   The Polar Bear Express Trainhttps://www.ontarionorthland.ca/en/travel/polar-bear-express-passenger-train   Shania Twain Instagram https://www.instagram.com/shaniatwain/?hl=en   CBC Gem https://gem.cbc.ca/still-standing/s10e01   The Long, Long Trailer https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047191/?ref_=fn_all_ttl_1   My Blog:https://whorpole.ca/blog/   If YOU want to be a part of MY podcast, send me a recording of you saying,“This podcast is produced by the Fireside Chat Club of Canada”.   Send it via Facebook Messenger, or by email to: AsISeeIt@whorpole.ca   AND, you can also contribute, buy Buying Me A Coffee.
