Canada, As I See It
Fireside Chat Club Of Canada
99 episodes
This is my view of Canada. Several years ago, I began writing essays based on the Canadian facts and people described on a t-shirt that I had! I’ve taken these essays, added some historical facts and new discoveries and now present them as I am known to do by friends and family - as a tangent-laden, fireside chat story. Please enjoy!

#93 - The Canadian Accent
Today, I'm going to accentuate the Canadian Accent. It's a thing – subtle, but it's there. I give you an idea of what it is. There's a bit of joking, and a bit of seriousness – but hopefully after listening today, you'll get an idea of ANOTHER thing that makes a Canadian, a Canadian.   I'm still looking for your stories of your home province – please send them to me (audio file or a few paragraphs that I can read) to me at the SAME address you can use, if YOU want to be a part of MY podcast. For that, please send me a recording of you saying,“This podcast is produced by the Fireside Chat Club of Canada”.   Send either of those to: AsISeeIt@whorpole.ca   AND, you can also contribute, by Buying Me A Coffee. Please go to my website – https://whorpole.ca and click on the yellow “Buy Me A Coffee” icon. It'll help me in my endeavour to find and produce the best Canadian content for you, every week.
