This week, Thomas and Colin watch the 1988 American action (Christmas) film, Die Hard.
Thomas is a published writer (again!) He has a sour, fig-filled ending to this year's highly controversial Advent of Code. Colin wrestles with technology, and realises upon re-listening to Thomas' plot synopsis that it was, indeed, sourced from where he said it was.

This week, Thomas and Colin watch the 1995 American submarine action thriller film, Crimson Tide.
Thomas talks in code. He creates a Tachyon Splitter and has a décor emergency. Colin offers his particular set of skills to assist, and gets the response he deserves. The Deranged Cat Studios experiences Paranormal Activity!
ERRATA: Colin kept referring to Parkrun as a "Race". It is a RUN, not a RACE.
A quick Google certainly shows that Colin isn't the only one seeing a Fail Safe/Crimson Tide similarity.

This week, Thomas and Colin watch the 2025 American action thriller film, The Amateur.
Is this week's episode "Short and Sweet" or "Short and Sour"? Thomas gets into a lather and has to hose off. Colin is savagely attacked, and plunges into waters unknown (and cold!) Thomas foolishly tries to alter the format. Today's secret word is tergiversate.
Macquarie Harbour is Australia's second largest natural harbour, after Port Phillip Bay in Victoria. This vast waterway is six times the size of Sydney Harbour.

"It's a very pretty film." With an estimated production budget of up to $270 million, as one of the most expensive films ever made, it should -at least- be pretty.

This week, Thomas and Colin watch the 1992 action thriller film, Under Siege.
Thomas talks about crazy times (A reminder that here in Oz, the "Liberal" Party is our major "Conservative" Party, and the Labor (yes, without a U) Party is our Major "Progressive" Party - although one could argue that there has certainly been a blurring of the lines of late!) His writing has been blocked, and finds a scapegoat. Colin is a writer, he's a fighter, he's a sometimes grinner - and he plays his music in the sun. He has Google Photos woes.
It was the character Tackman that seemed to Colin to appear out of nowhere. Looking at the original screenplay it appears most of his early scenes were cut.
