Crisis is everywhere. Wars and famine. Sickness and death. How does the greatest crisis in ancient Israel's history prepare us to deal with crisis? And how does it prepare us to receive the good news about Jesus of Nazareth?

What does God have to say to a church celebrating 75 years as a community of faith in the city? It might not be what you expect.

Most, if not all, of us want to see God pour out his Spirit in our day. But not many of us arent willing to pay attention to the place where revival begins: our hearts. Yet, God says that is exactly what we need to do.

To want revival is one thing; to give yourself to the journey to get there is another. In this teaching, we look at the postures and practices that work together to create the conditions for a move of Gods Spirit.

The time is now to contend for God to move in our time. But in order for the church to contend for a move of , it must take up the cry of revival and call on God to keep his promises. Using the Exodus story, we investigate what this looks like and how we can get involved as the church of Jesus.

As Central Heights turns 75, we celebrate Gods faithfulness and give thanks for all he has done. Yet milestone is not the finish line, but a new beginning. God is still at work, and Isaiah 61 invites us to join Him in whats next.

This sermon reflects on Jesus parable of the great banquet in Luke 14:1524, showing how Gods invitation to His kingdom is open to all, yet many miss it by making excuses. As followers of Christ, we are called to move beyond excuses, accept the invitation fully, and be compelled by His love to invite others to the table of Gods kingdom.

In the church we throw the word faith around a lot, and we should because faith is central to a life with God. But what happens when the broken parts of our lives and the circumstances we find ourselves in threaten our faith? What do we do? It begins with asking: what do I have?

In a fast paced, connected culture it can be easy to miss Gods presence in our lives. If we dont slow down and create the conditions to help us see, we may just miss the God who is with us.
