The huntress becomes the hunted in our first half this week as Xena and Amazon queen-to-be Varia escape the treacherous...generic...blonde guy. But at least he has a funny friend? And in part two, the wonderful Alexis Arquette brings some absolute campy evil heat as we return to Rome and the Eve storyline.

The Beowulf arc concludes pretty much exactly as you expected it to, and then Xena takes a very weird swerve into a slice of life about Ares realizing he loves agrarian life and wants to own a dog and chill? The ChatzKidz have a lot of thoughts on both these and more (like Wicked: For Good!) on this, the latest episode of Xena: Warrior Chatzess.

For our last TrekChatz of 2025, we wanted to examine two popular documentaries about the creation of shows we've covered so far before stepping further back into the past to cover TOS. So this week, TrekChatz takes a look at 2014's Chaos on the Bridge as well as 2019's What We Left Behind, about TNG and DS9 respectively. Xena: Warrior Princess graces us with another classic clip show episode, and while we don't have much to say about it, sometimes it's fun to just reminisce. And after the break, Hercules returns to the show for an EPIC adventure bringing in all our favorite gods, goddesses, and of course lore. We wrap up the latest Chin arc with our return to Xena coverage, and between forcefield powers, red beams of energy, and the ability to turn things into stone, we're starting to wonder if this show is losing sight of what made it successful. But then, in part two, Xena inhabits the body of a young girl and helps her navigate grief, and you know we're right back on board! Pay no mind to the uh...questionable Gabrielle/Aphrodite whacky sex comedy B plot.
