In this episode, Pastor William teaches that there must be doctrine – solid, sound, gospel doctrine to constitute real feeding of the children. He explains, quoting from Charles H. Spurgeon, that "If there is any doctrine too difficult for a child, the fault is the teacher’s conception of it rather than the child’s ability to receive it, provided the child is really converted to God."
In this episode, Pastor William explains that a child not only lives as you and I do but also needs to grow; hence, he has double need of food. He also emphasises that children are growing and what we feed them determines how they grow.
When the Lord calls a man to a work, He gives him the preparation necessary for it. How was Peter prepared for feeding Christ’s lambs? First, by being fed himself. The children's church teacher cannot feed lambs, or sheep either, unless they are fed themselves.
Pastor William answers about what to teach the children at the Art of Shepherding Children Conference 2025.
Shepherding children is a great responsibility and is not to be taken lightly. At the recent The Art of Shepherding Children Conference 2025, Pastor William shares seven responsibilities that Children's Church Teachers have towards the children they teach.
