As we welcome the new year, we are invited to recalibrate our mindsets in response to the miracles Jesus has already shown us. In Mark 8, we learn how to apply his nature to our circumstances. God trains us to be fully dependent on him so that whether we are in a season of poverty or prosperity, we continue to aim toward the ultimate prize: his presence.

The faithfulness of God is established in heaven (Psalm 89:2). In this message, we look at the story of Abraham and Sarah, whose confidence in the Lord’s faithfulness inspires us to make our home in his promise. We are encouraged to let heaven’s reality inform our earthly one, knowing that we can declare him faithful because the Cross already did.

Jesus’ arrival on Christmas confronted the status quo, exposing every rival throne and inviting us to consider what we may be unwilling to surrender to him. In this message, we learn from Matthew 2 as an example of how to respond to Jesus when we recognize him as our Lord and Saviour — with joy and wholehearted worship. Even though worship is costly, we offer him everything because he is worth that cost.

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (Matthew 6:13). As we look at the final line of the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus is pointing us toward a deeper truth, a new reality, where the Cross has the final say and the enemy has no influence over our lives. In this message, we discuss how temptation and testing is a setup for this truth to be applied and for God to receive the ultimate glory.

“And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” (Matthew 6:12). In this message, we examine the necessity of forgiveness — and how holding on to un-forgiveness leaves us vulnerable to the influence of the enemy. We are invited to participate in the power of the Cross by not only receiving the Father’s love but also expressing it to others through forgiveness.

“Give us today our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). In this message, we are reminded to approach our Father in prayer with thanksgiving, for he is the one who faithfully gives us enough for today. We learn how to joyfully choose to depend on him by recognizing that Jesus — the bread of life — is the only thing that satisfies.

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…” (Matthew 6:10). Prayer increases our exposure to heaven. In this message, we dive deeper into Jesus’ invitation to surrender our will by choosing him as our ultimate reward. We do this by closing the door to all other rewards to meet with him in the secret place of prayer.

“Hallowed be your name…” (Matthew 6:9). As we examine the second line of the Lord’s Prayer, we recognize that God’s name — his character, authority, and nature — is holy and higher than any other. In this message, we learn what it means to have a healthy fear of the Lord in the honouring of his name.

“Our Father in heaven…” (Matthew 6:9). This week, we start our study of the Lord’s Prayer from a place of security — by knowing who we are in him. Jesus invites us to take our place as sons and daughters and follow him back home to the Father.

As his people, Jesus has made us his new temple—his house of prayer (Luke 19:46). Prayer is a meeting place where we connect with the source of life, and through us, a river of his living water flows into the world. This week, let us be encouraged to pray with intention, removing anything that hinders God’s presence, and trusting that when we draw near to him, he will meet us there.

This week, we are reminded of the spiritual realities of this world and the confidence we have in Christ, because his Spirit within us is greater than all the powers of this world. In Jesus, we are not only saved but sanctified by the truth of his word (John 17:15-19). As we align ourselves with the truth and remain in him, the enemy’s lies have no authority over us.

As disciples of Jesus, we are called to daily deny ourselves and orient our lives toward him (Matthew 16:24-25). By joining in this heavenly posture, we enter a spiritual realm where we are made whole and experience unwavering peace, love, and joy. In this message, we are reminded that Jesus has saved us from the deception of the world and invited us into a life of freedom and faith.

As the body of Christ, we eagerly pursue the gifts of the Spirit for the sake of the common good. In this message, we take a closer look at the gift of prophecy — how it is meant to strengthen, encourage, and comfort one another (1 Corinthians 14:1-3). Through the expression of these gifts, we build the family of God and form an immune system anchored in truth and love against the influence of the enemy.

Creation is groaning for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed. In this message, we dive into Romans 8 — where we discover the importance of sharing Jesus’ inheritance as co-heirs of God’s glory. Jesus brings us into this family, and through the Spirit, that family comes alive within us.

In Christ, we are all different parts of one complete body (Romans 12:4-5). In this message, we explore what it looks like to serve each another using the unique gifts God gives us — it is not optional but instead a natural response to how Jesus first served us. It is a radical, counter-cultural declaration of our faith in the family of God and to the powers at work in the world.

When we break the bread of communion, we not only remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross but become unified as the family of God. We are reminded to break open our own lives and draw nearer to each other. In doing so, we find wholeness that is only possible and available within the body of Christ (Psalm 68:5-6).

Jesus’ love speaks a better word over the shame in our past and our fears for the future (Ephesians 3:18-19). At the table of communion, we are reminded of this powerful love and who we are in him. It is where we find Jesus and he finds us.

As we continue the conversation about family, we’re reminded of Jesus’ command to love each other. This isn’t just a principle — it’s the power that builds the church, heals brokenness, and reveals God’s presence in the world. Sacrificial, self giving, persevering love between his people is the very influence that the gates of hell cannot overcome.

While sin offers temporary satisfaction, Jesus offers something better — his everlasting love. In this message, we are reminded of what baptism means — publicly rejecting the kingdom of darkness and accepting the kingdom of light. Our sins are washed away, and we are new creations in the name of Jesus.

Worship is the result and expression of the freedom that Jesus bought for us with his blood (Revelation 1:5-6). In this message, we dive into the book of Exodus to understand how the journey from slavery to freedom comes with obstacles that give us a choice — whether to follow the voices of slavery or allow ourselves to be attuned to a better voice, God’s voice.
