In Matthew 8-9, Jesus demonstrates His divine authority over sickness, demons, nature, and even death. His miracles—healing the leper, calming the storm, casting out demons, and raising the dead—are not just acts of compassion but revelations of His identity as the Messiah. The disciples’ question, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” (Matt 8:27), highlights the mystery of who Jesus truly is. These miracles are glimpses of the kingdom breaking into the world, revealing Jesus as the King who restores all things.
