What better way to close out the year than with a little bit of chaos, because what's a Winnie the Pooh episode without chaos. This series has easily become one of my favorites for us to talk about because you never know what's gonna happen and this episode is no different. With all of the same loveable antics we've come to know it's no surprise this movie is just as fun.
We're back with another holiday hit for you, This time in my personal opinion (Charlie refuses to agree or disagree) the greatest Christmas movie of all time The Muppets Christmas Carol. It's a story we all know and love, but replaced with Muppets and's everything you'd expect and more. With a perfect blend of silliness and seriousness they're able to make such a refreshing take on something we've seen a million times.
Welcome back to the start of our annual holiday season episodes. I apologize for running a bit late. You should expect nothing less from me at this point. We're opening with a sequel of a movie we covered last year. Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. Another compilation of shorts following Mickey and the gang. While not the greatest of stories this is still a fun little piece that works great for what it is.
We're finally back with a new original full length story. Cinderella III: A Twist in Time is regarded as one of the best straight to home video sequels released by Disney. And at the start of this episode Charlie and I were hesitant to agree, However after discussing for a bit we can definitely see the appeal.
We're back with another compilation sequel for a yet another tv series that was not picked up. DisneyToons is getting really creative with these ideas. This time it's Cinderella II. This is one that is not good, but also not bad either. It could have been alot worse.
We're back with another discussion episode. This week we are talking about some of the Disney ad campaigns and some of the Disney products we remember either having or seeing growing up and currently.
We're back with another Tinker Bell movie this week, and yet again we are pleasantly surprised with how good it actually is. Another rare instance where a sequel holds up and is slightly better than the original. Obviously no episode is complete without our dose of tangents and debates and there's plenty in this one.
We've finally gotten to one of the episodes we were looking forward to the least. And we have to say... Tinker Bell completely blew our expectations out of the water. Now I am in no means saying this is a masterpiece of a movie, but after hearing what this movie went through in the process of being made, it's a miracle we got something half as good as what this actually was.
It's been quite a while but we're finally back with a brand new Pixar movie. This week Charlie and I explore outer space, the Communinverse, and more in Elio. It's hard to explain our feelings for this movie. For what seems like a very well put together movie, it just doesn't seem to live up to it's full potential somehow. There's alot of great things about this movie but something just doesn't click with us.
Another week of tough scheduling for us means it's time for another talk episode. This week we discuss all things Disney games, from video games, card games, to tabletop we go through some of the most popular, and some of our personal favorites.
This week Charlie and I Return to Neverland in the Peter Pan sequel that impressed us alot more than we were expecting it to. With a mix of comedy, action, drama, and a solid score this sequel has everything your looking for and more. It's pretty rare when the sequel is better than the original but this is definitely one of those cases.
We've finally come up with an official name for our bonus episodes. Around the Castle. This week Charlie and I discuss the rumors of Disney potentially returning to 2d animation, and some of our gripes with their current animation styles.
Well we knew it was bound to happen eventually. We're surprised it took 11 episodes to get to our first stinker of the season. The Little Mermaid: Ariel's beginning is everything you're hoping a franchise doesn't turn into. Lackluster music, unimaginative villains, weak plots. While this is not the worst movie we've seen, and probably not even the worst we'll come across this season, this movie should've remained under the sea.
Have you ever wanted to watch The Little Mermaid in reverse?Well you're in luck because that's exactly what this sequel is. In The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea we meet Melody, Ariel's daughter who just want's to explore the sea. While this movie does provide some underwhelming follow-ups it's far from the worst thing we've seen.
Were back with another bonus episode. This week were talking about Lilo and Stitch: The Series... Which I know absolutely nothing about. So Charlie decided to put together a short quiz on the series and see how much I can piece together on my own.
Wer'e back to pride rock yet again in an offbeat telling of the Lion King from Timon and Pumba's perspective in Lion King 1 1/2. This was a very interesting concept for a movie that actually paid off. Disney was able to pull off a straight up comedy that did not feel forced. A lot of fun jokes and fourth wall breaking allowed them to retell a story with a new light.
This week Charlie and I return to Pride Rock to continue the story of The Lion King. While this isn't necessarily a bad movie it's not really that great either, It mainly leaves us with a lot of questions and alot more to be desired out of it.
We've got a new concept for a bonus episode for ya'll. Every once in a while Charlie and I are just too busy to get a chance to prep for recording an episode, There's alot that goes into it. But we still want to put out content so we decided to come up with the idea of these bonus episodes where it's just us talking about random topics. These episodes will be alot more laid back and relaxed. This week's topic is Live action remakes
This week Charlie and I take a trip to England to follow up on the story of Pocahontas. Yet again she's having trouble picking between two guys again and she doesn't know where she wants to go in life. This may be another case where we came in expecting the worst and got something average so it seems alot better than it actually is, but so far nothing horrendous yet.
We're back with another Winnie the Pooh movie, however this time it's a bit different because it's actually The Tigger Movie. However this episode still includes just as much chaos if not more as all of our Winnie the Pooh episodes. We go off the rails as usual discussing who the villains are, (spoiler alert, according to Charlie it's everyone) We continue to argue about the illiteracy of the group, and discuss who is actually real or not.
