Batman, Ego is a graphic novel that puts the Dark Knight in a very different light. After a mistake that cost the live of a crook and his innocent family, Bruce Wayne questions his purpose and considers stopping his crusade in Gotham. Suddenly a demonic version of Batman arrives and the two debate the validity of that very crusade. Is Batman doing everything he can, is he responsible for the villains and their victims, and ultimately does Bruce even have a choice or is his mind too fractured. The iconic art paired with the very human idea of introspection makes Ego a must read for any Batman fan.
