Josh Reich- Lead Pastor For many of us, hope is hard to come by. Our world feels hopeless, whether in politics, finances, relationships, or health. Yet, Advent helps us to hope when life feels hopeless.

Josh Reich-Lead Pastor This time of year, we see “peace” everywhere, but sometimes we struggle to feel peace in our hearts. Through Jesus, we have peace with God and the peace of God. Peace isn’t found in the absence of problems, but in the presence of God.

Josh Reich- Lead Pastor When life is hard, joy can seem far away. But God promises joy in His presence. We get to choose to experience joy. When we do, we learn that the greatest enemy of joy isn’t pain—it’s distraction.

Tim Zulker- Guest Speaker 3 John is written to help the church understand the importance of community and hospitality, and how this advances the mission of God. The letter revolves around Gaius (the recipient of the letter), Diotrephes (the one causing trouble), and Demetrius (the delivery of the letter). John writes to help Gaius stand in his faith and not imitate or fall prey to Diotrephes.

Gerry Letourneau We can know we have eternal life by our love, obedience, and faith. Victory is found through love and obedience.

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor The greatest picture of the love and forgiveness of God towards us is the cross of Jesus. It is there that God’s love is shown to the greatest extent. We love and forgive ourselves and others to the degree that we believe we are loved and forgiven by God.

Gerry Letourneau - Teaching Team John writes to tell them how important truth is and that one of the things we do as followers of Jesus is to discern what is true and what is a lie, thereby guarding ourselves and the church from false teachers.

Jon Guinn - Elder We are a reflection of the love of Jesus. Our relationship is built on that love and what He did for us because of that love.

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor Our biggest struggle is not giving love and forgiveness, but rather receiving love and forgiveness.

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor John writes to tell them how they will know the end is near, what makes an anti-Christ and how they and others will deny God in the end. This is another way of John teaching them about them of the assurance they have in God.

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor What and who we love reveals everything about us. It is also the place where the battle for a good life takes place.

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor We cannot separate our human relationships with our relationship with God. How we relate to God will overflow into our relationships with others and our relationship with others will overflow into our relationship with God.

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor Because God is light, we can experience the good life by walking in the light, which means keeping Jesus’ commands. However, our brokenness often prevents us from experiencing this life. Yet, John tells us that we can walk in this light by loving our brothers and sisters, and by confessing our sins.

Josh. Reich - Lead Pastor The first step into the good life is understanding that the truth about Jesus has been revealed to us through eyewitnesses. This truth leads us into a relationship with Jesus and into a community of other followers of Jesus.

Gerry Letourneau - Guest Speaker David cries out in agony, feeling abandoned by God and surrounded by enemies. He remembers God’s past deliverance but fears His absence in the present. Confident that rescue will come, David vows to praise God publicly and foresees a time when all nations will worship the Lord.

Jon Guinn- Elder Trust can only come by giving up control. Can we trust in God in the midst of difficult circumstances? No matter what the outcome is? This kind of trust can only come through a deep relationship with God.

Jim Harrell- Guest Speaker David marvels at God’s majesty, revealed in creation’s grandeur and His care for humanity. Though the heavens are vast, God grants people dignity and authority, making them rulers over creation as His image-bearers.
