I dug this conversation with my dad out of my voice memos from last year, interjected with some side conversations with my mom (I get caught for stealing their liquor lmao). I thought it was interesting, so I played some guitar over it and decided to post it :) hope y'all enjoy
Hey guys, it's been a long time. Like a year long time. Starting Season 3 officially of CSR and I'm very excited :) Gonna be talking a lot about things I wish I knew a few years ago to hopefully help people that were in a similar situation that I was. Basically this is an episode for advice for my younger self.
This is my first solo episode so it's a bit out of my comfort zone, but I knew I needed to make something today. Yes I recorded and edited all of this today lol. Inspiration hits diff
Anyway hope you guys enjoy!
Welcome to Episode 11 of Corner Store Radio. In this episode, I talk with my friend Ben about his experiences with being neurodivergent and dealing with a public school system. We also discuss treatment and medication struggles. Go check out "About Invisible Illness" for a similar episode!
Note: I use he/they pronouns
Note: my pronouns are he/they!
For my history class, I interviewed my 83-year-old aunt Anna. She tells me about her experience with being gay throughout the 20th century. We're able to relate to each other on some of our experiences, but hearing about being gay in another century was completely foreign to me and it was interesting to have this other perspective.
Stick around to hear my aunt question her gender at the age of 83 as well lmao
Thanks to https://storycorps.org/ for inspiring my teacher to give this assignment! Go visit the website to hear some other interviews people have uploaded.
My friend Ocernia comes on to talk about her experiences with invisible illnesses such as ADHD, Asperger's, asthma, and hypotonia. There are a lot of misconceptions about illnesses like that, so she wanted to share her experience with them to educate people and spread awareness for the things she deals with. Enjoy!
My friend Sandman from Discord and I cover topics such as our views on spirituality, consciousness, and religion as a whole. We talk about what truth means to us and how perception affects our realities. Enjoy listening to our take on spirituality, manifestation, and more!
DISCLAIMER: This is just what we believe in! This is a belief system and if there are topics you don't agree with, that's perfectly ok! We're just here to inform people on what spirituality means to us.

happy valentines day :)
Discord server members "FrosterTheMan" and "not nice kermit" join me to talk about morality among other things. This is kind of a hodgepodge episode; we talk about regrets, self-worth, conflict, and the ego and how it all ties into morality. This was a really fun episode for me because I love talking about philosophy and things like this :) Enjoy!

TW: gender dysphoria
Come listen to me talk about my experience with gender identity with my friends Maria (a cisgender girl) and Ben (a trans guy, FTM)! Gender identity is a widely discussed topic today, but it was nice to be able to hear different perspectives on what it means to be transgender.
I left in a bit at the end where we were all gushing about the new Minecraft update, as well. Enjoy!
Edit: It's so interesting how my gender identity has changed since November. In December, I decided to switch to he/they pronouns and I experience a lot more dysphoria than I did when recording this episode. I now absolutely hate it when people use she/her for me. It goes to show that you can feel one way and then completely change your identity. Going back and forth between identities doesn't make those identities any less valid and I think that's something people need to hear. I'm happy that I'm finding myself :)
Come listen to me talk about self-image and the way we feel emotions with my friends Anna and Jack. At the end, we get very off-topic and end up talking about soup for 8 minutes.
Thank you guys for being a part of my first episode!
