All the witnesses have testified, and it's time for the jury to deliberate. They certainly don't agree, but very consciously choose their verdict as well as their sentencing recommendation. Six months later during the actual sentencing, Rocky and his team are met with a huge surprise. Then, things seem to only get worse during the appeals process.

Here in Alabama, a black man named Robin "Rocky" Myers sits on death row where he's been since 1994. He's run out of appeals and awaiting an execution date. There's just one problem. Rocky might be innocent.



In Chapter 1 of Rocky's story, we introduce a high level overview of the story. Who is Rocky? What was the crime? And how did Rocky get wrapped up in it? Who are the key players? This episode will set up what's to come.

Sophie Toscan Du Plantier took a brief getaway to her vacation home just days before Christmas. When she was found dead at the end of her driveway, it shook the small town where she was visiting as she wasn't from the area and only knew a few people. Suspicion fell on a reporter, but a lack of evidence made the case difficult.
